Views of the Trois Solliès and Coudon mountains via the GR®51 and the Tourris trail.
From the heights of Solliès-Ville, enjoy magnificent views of Toulon harbour, the Coudon massif, the Cuers plain and the hamlet of Vallaury.
The route includes some fairly technical, rocky, stony sections with steep gradients, where it is best to watch your step. These sections can become tiresome and spoil the fun a little, hence the difficult level.
Circuit via the Notre-Dame du Deffens Chapel
This route will take you up to Solliès-Ville and then past the Notre-Dame du Deffens Chapel. On the way back, you will follow the bed of an old stream.
Sainte-Christine Chapel tour - Valcros and the Trubis Cave
A route where you can rediscover the footpaths and, above all, the hamlet of Valcros with its square, the chapel, the tree and its oven. Then a visit to the Trubis Cave when there is water.Afterwards, we head towards the Castellas oppidum, but that will have to wait for another time, and we return to the Sainte-Christine Chapel to appreciate its history and the view.
Circular above the Chapelle de la Trinité
A circular loop in the hills above La Farlède. It follows a steep-sided valley, climbs up to a field of rockroses, joins the Canal de Provence through the woods and returns to the houses and car park by the chapel. Numerous fossils and other structures appear on the limestone walls and ground. The vegetation covers and hides many terraces and other ruins, signs of active human occupation until at least the beginning of the last century.
Ascent of Coudon (83)
A nice climb to the top of Coudon (altitude 702 m) near Toulon.
Discover the Domaine de la Castille and its castle
In a private estate where walkers, cyclists and horse riders are welcome, you will have access to a magnificent Provençal setting, with an 18th-century château at the heart of its 160-hectare vineyard, and you will walk alongside the banks of the River Gapeau and its tributaries, the Petit Real and the Jonquière. This circular route is suitable for families.
Arches des Sambles, de la Garoute and Vigne Fère from Morière la Tourne
This circular route passes through nine arches, including the famous Garoute Arch. This route offers a glimpse of two others that are very difficult to access and are not part of this route. First, you come across a beautiful viewpoint over the Îles d’Hyères, then a few charcoal burners’ huts, a walled rock shelter and a small cave that were used by the forest’s craftsmen. This trail allows you to appreciate the surrounding hills and the many rocks carved by erosion. There are other points of interest to seek out by straying from the trail, ‘following your instincts’, but this is best left to the experienced hiker with an adventurous spirit! Please note: some sections not shown on any maps require careful reading of the terrain, and as such, it is advisable to read the practical information carefully before venturing onto this trail.
Notre-Dame de Santé in Cuers
A short climb to the Chapelles Sainte-Christine and the Chapelle Notre-Dame de Santé with its sundial on the ground. This is also an opportunity to discover part of old Cuers and the various wash houses along the way.
Barre de Cuers
A beautiful hike, with a good climb and a superb view of the heights. It's a shame about the end, 30 minutes of tarmac...
The Bees of Cuers
This is a walk I'm really enjoying at the moment with flowers along the route and a view of the Barres de Cuers.
There's little difficulty, the false-flat is long, after the hives on the descent, so be aware.
The hives are magnificent.
Circular loop starting from Cuers
A varied walk in Cuers leading to the foothills of Cuers, a panoramic view above Belgentier, through the woodland, to the hamlet of Valcros and the Chapel of Notre-Dame de Santé.
Le Fenouillet - Château de Hyères starting from La Crau
This hike combines physical activity with culture. It will take us on a journey of discovery through the ruins of Hyères Castle. The local council has installed information panels on the site, allowing us to imagine what life was like in those days. Before that, this beautiful walk will take us to the recently renovated Notre-Dame du Fenouillet Chapel.
