On the trail of Manon des Sources - Le Mémorial de Signes
On this walk you'll discover some of the locations used to film Manon des Sources and Jean de Florette (1986): the Grotte de Mounoï cave, the dried-up stream and the Villa Renard - the hunchback's house.
This route will also let you discover the Vallon des Martyrs, with its monument commemorating resistance fighters executed by the SS in 1944. All along the walk you'll experience incredible Provence landscapes and the Sainte-Baume.
The Agnis Valley
A pleasant hike that is not difficult. Approximately 12 km in total with a gentle slope both uphill and downhill. Just be careful on the way back as the path is rocky in places.
Maramouyé Abyss and Bastide de la Barralière
A beautiful, easy and enjoyable hike on the Siou Blanc Plateau. Magnificent views and varied vegetation.
From the starting point, you will descend with a beautiful view in the distance of the bay of La Ciotat.
N.B. The hike cannot be done during the summer, as the road between Signes and Solliès is closed for firefighting purposes.
Towards the Colle de Fède
This is yet another hike on the Siou Blanc plateau, but it offers a beautiful view of the Aiguilles de Valbelle and the surroundings of Signes. Please note that the Chemin de Siou Blanc is closed during the summer from 15 June to 15 September.
Le Siou Blanc (Roucas Traouca)
In the Siou Blanc karst massif, a pretty loop that leads to "L'Éléphant de Pierre" (a natural curiosity) at the end of the hike.

The Valbelle needles

A very pleasant route, mostly on wide, sunny fire prevention tracks. Passes through a wonderful site: the Aiguilles de Valbelle.
The karstic caves and caves at the start of Siou Blanc
The Siou Blanc massif is home to numerous karstic caves and caves. This hike will allow you to discover some of them, while enjoying the landscape via very pleasant trails.

From Riboux to Château Renard via the Trébuquet valley
A fairly easy hike that leads along the Riboux valley and then towards the Château Renard estate, made famous by the film "Jean de Florette".
Circular from the Grotte des Rampins starting from Méounes-lès-Montrieux
This route begins with a visit to Méounes-lès-Montrieux, winding through its narrow streets, passing by its church, old wash houses, chapel and viewpoints. The route then heads into the undergrowth along little-used paths in search of the Grotte des Rampins.

This walk takes you through the Aiguilles de Valbelle site, with its rocky peaks rising out of the forest.
Beautiful forest tracks, a few footpaths and the Chartreuse Notre-Dame de Montrieux (which cannot be visited).

Set off for the Massif de la Sainte-Baume and its western flank to reach the highest point in the Bouches-du-Rhône, the Pic de Bertagne at 1,042 metres. At the summit, you will be treated to an exceptional 360° panorama of the Mediterranean, Sainte-Victoire, Jouc de l'Aigle, the Siou Blanc plateau, the Alps... so enjoy it while you can, knowing that unfortunately you will have to descend and leave this magnificent site with some superb photos.

A very pleasant hike along the banks of the Caramy, with swimming possible on the first part of the route.
Les Coins de Manon and the Signes Mass Grave Memorial
We visit several locations where scenes from the films "Jean de Florette" and "Manon des Sources" were shot. We start from the car park located at the large hairpin bend on the climb to Riboux, 3 km above Ok Corral, the amusement park located 3 km from Cuges-Les-Pins.

Le Jas de Frédéric via Riboux
This is a beautiful, easy hike, alternating between paths and tracks, where you can discover: a cade oven, a jas and a well. The Jas de Frédéric has been beautifully restored and is in an ideal location. The route is not always marked, so it is best to follow the GPS.
Source of the Huveaune, the Oratoire de Miette and the Castelette cave
If you would like to discover a pretty spring in the South of France, I recommend a circular route starting from the Plateau, passing by the Oratoire de Miette, the Tumulus des Béguines and the Chemin de Rois.
You will discover the spring and its magnificent colours and the Castelette cave on the way back.

From Sainte-Baume to Chemin des Rois via the Huveaune springs
This is a family hike that allows you to visit the Huveaune springs via a rather unusual route starting from the Hôtellerie de la Sainte-Baume.
Voie Gombault and Marcel Estruch Trail
This is a "hiking-climbing" route along the Voie Gombault and the Marcel Estruch trail on the north-east face of the Sainte-Baume massif. Direct access to the ridges via a vertical route, then a complete crossing of the balcony trail from east to west. Undergrowth, ridges, ledges and cave visits also feature on this aerial route.
⚠️ This hike should not be undertaken between 15 February and 15 July in order to respect the tranquillity of the area and not compromise bird reproduction on the Marcel Estruch trail.

Sentier Marcel Estruch and Grotte aux Œufs via Saint-Pilon
A beautiful, challenging hike that combines many of the features of Sainte-Baume: undergrowth, ledges, chain passages, a visit to a cave, ridges, etc.
"A protected species, the peregrine falcon, nests on the Béguines cliff and may be disturbed. Avoid using this trail between February and June to ensure its protection."
Loop of the Huveaune springs from Sainte-Baume
There is a long, steep descent, but the views are magnificent on both the Sainte-Baume and Sainte-Victoire sides. The forest surrounding the Gorges de l'Huveaune is cool and dense, and the yellow waterfalls in the riverbed are surprising. This is a short excursion into the Sainte-Baume forest.

Crête de la Sainte-Baume
The coolness of a large forest on the north side, the rocky beauty of the south side, magnificent views from the summit ridge, small paths along ledges, and a cool return trip.
Please note that this hike can be difficult in bad weather or windy conditions, particularly between waypoints 3 and 5. Therefore, be very careful and do not take any unnecessary risks.
Le Siou Blanc - Pyramide de Cassini - L'Arche de la Garoute
This hike will take you across the Siou Blanc plateau. First, head south towards the Pyramide de Cassini and its fabulous viewpoint over Mont Caume and the Bay of Toulon. Then head north, overlooking the Gapeau valley, to discover the Arche de la Garoute hidden in the woods of the Morières-Montrieux national forest.

A pleasant hike offering magnificent 360° views from the summit, stretching from the Alps to the sea via Mont Ventoux. Route for experienced hikers.
Around Nans les Pins
Hike to discover the Piémont de la Sainte Baume along the banks of the Huveaune, with a permanent view of the long summit ridge of the massif.
Castrum, chapel and old village of Saint-Jean in Rougiers
This short hike allows you to discover a picturesque and unique medieval site, including beautiful views of the green Provence and the Pre-Alps. The ruined village is a remarkable example of dwellings built on the side of a cliff.
The Piégu oppidum, the Guillandiére fountain and the Castrum Saint-Jean
A beautiful hike starting from Les Rougiers at the foot of Sainte Baume, where you will discover historical sites dating from the Gallo-Roman period to the Middle Ages: the Piégu oppidum, the Fontaine de la Guillandiére, the Château Saint-Jean, the ruins of the fortified village and its troglodyte dwellings, and its 19th-century chapel.

The Huveaune river has its source in the Sainte-Beaume massif at the Castelette cave. It is actually several resurgent and petrifying springs.

Hiking in Provence Verte. In 5 to 6 hours, discover several beautiful places near La Roquebrussanne. The old Saint-André chapel hidden in the mountains, the summit of La Loube with a view to the north towards Sainte-Baume, Saint-Maximin and Brignoles and to the south, the sea and the Iles d'Or, the cave of the 400 sheep.
Geological curiosities around the Citerne Neuve
If you are guided by a desire to explore, this circuit, which penetrates the heart of Siou-Blanc, will allow you to discover lost arches, caves, karstic caves, dolomites and a few rocks whose shapes give free rein to the imagination. There are also a few remains of basic shelters, evidence of ancient occupation of the site. All these curiosities are hidden in the heart of a magnificent primeval forest and can be accessed by straying slightly from the more frequented paths.
Walk around the old village of Le Castellet
This easy hike offers beautiful panoramic views, a visit to the old hilltop village of Le Castellet, a walk through a cool valley that would not be out of place in Provence Verte, and finally a stroll through a pleasant neighbourhood of the village of Le Beausset.
Please note, however, that most of the route is on tarmac, but on small roads with very little traffic.
Aiguilles de Valbelle - Clos de Peiron
This hike leads to a popular hiking spot in the Var region, but via a lesser-known route and using a minimum of tracks.
The tour of Vieux Beausset
Climb up to the sanctuary of Vieux Beausset via the Chemin des Oratoires, then stroll back down along small country roads through terraced olive groves and vineyards. This is a walk that can be done all year round, but I would recommend doing it in spring to appreciate the mildness of the landscape.
