The route starts from a car park, occupied by a water tank, 3.5 km from the junction of the D2 with the Siou Blanc forest road, near Signes, at a place called Les Quatre Chemins.
(S/E) Head east along the Limate track for about 1.6 km, until you reach a Y-junction.
(1) Turn right onto a slightly uphill path and rejoin theGR®51andGR®99.
(2) Turn right: view of the Limate plain with its Resistance monument in the centre. Follow theGR® for about 2 km, until you reach an inverted Y-junction.
(3) Turn right. Let the signposted path go off to the right and continue to the next three-way junction. Turn left and continue to a junction.
(4) Turn right. Walk past the Puits de Fam and its clearing with a pond, which is not very full. You’ll reach a crossroads (elevation 689).
(5) Continue straight on, towards a path that is not very well marked but passable. Walk for about a kilometre: be careful, as the last 100 m of this path are difficult to make out. Join a cross-country track.
(6) Turn right onto this track and follow it to the start of another track on the right, marking the start of the climb towards the Cross.
(7) Turn right, following the path, and you will reach a three-way junction.
(8) Ignore a track branching off to the left and continue the climb.
(9) At the bend, go straight on along a slightly narrower path and reach a junction.
(10) Head up to the right and reach the Cross.
(11) Enjoy the scenery. Turn back to the previous junction.
(10) Head straight down the slope. Continue for just over a kilometre until you reach the junction with a wide track.
(12) Turn right, heading west, then veer right to follow a path that serves as a shortcut and rejoin a wide track.
(13) Take this track to the right, making a wide left-hand bend, and rejoin the original fork.
(1) Continue straight on and follow the outward route in the opposite direction to reach the car park and the cistern (S/E).
