From Toulon, take the A57, exit 7, towards Belgentier and at Solliès-Toucas turn left, following the signs for "Siou Blanc". The road is narrow and winding.
(S) Place known as "Abîme des Morts".
From the car park, the blue-marked trail heads southwest.
(1) At point 579 on the map, turn left towards La Barralière.
(2) 500 metres after La Barralière, at point 480, turn right and continue to the very wide forest track
(3) Take this track on the left for 2.4 km until you reach elevation 375, where there is a cistern marked ENS 3.
(4) Turn sharply left to begin the climb to hill 401. There, don't miss the narrow path on the right that leads to hill 431 in 1.2 km.
(5) Turn left here, where a tough 1.1 km climb awaits you, but you can catch your breath.
From there, follow the route on the map to hill 547
(6) Head left towards "Le Turben" until you reach hill 629. At the sign, turn left towards the Roucas Traouca (Stone Elephant) trail, where you can take a photo.
(7) From the Stone Elephant, return to the road and the car park, taking a look at "L'Abîme des Morts" (the Abyss of the Dead) on the left (caution: danger) (E).
