The start of this walk is near the town hall square in Bonnevaux.
(S/E) Head towards Mignovillard/Leat-du-Fourg to start your walk. Take the first road on the left and enter the housing estate. Follow the yellow and blue markings at the junctions.
(1) Once you’ve left the housing estate, enter the Bonnevaux common land via the turnstile. Climb the hill along the path that turns right. Join a road and follow it to the left until you reach the statue of the Virgin Mary. Then continue along this road until you reach a junction.
(2) Then take the road on the left. At the next fork, take the left-hand track.
(3) At the crossroads, carry straight on until you reach the Vieille Citerne.
(4) Retrace your steps back to the previous crossroads.
(3) Turn right and head down into the woods, ignoring the side paths.
(5) At the junction, follow the road to the left.
(6) After about 1 km, feel free to climb up to the left to the Sapin Président de Bonnevaux, hidden in the forest. Then retrace your steps.
(6) Continue westwards along the road to reach the village.
(7) Cross the main road and follow it for about 50 metres. Then take the first road on the right. At the small square (oratory), turn left to reach the village centre.
(8) In the village centre, first turn right then left, following the yellow and blue markings. Then turn right, cross the Drugeon stream and turn right again. Walk past the wash house and return to the starting point (S/E).
