A beautiful hike with superb views of the Black Mountains and Pyrenees. Well marked.
The last part is a bit challenging physically and requires good footwear as the descent requires a lot of attention due to the many rocks.
Best done in good weather.

Hello, everyone.
This is a lovely, refreshing hike that we have done several times since we are responsible for refreshing the markings. The landscapes are varied and gentle, very pleasant.

We did this hike on 16 April 2023, with a group of 13 people.
The first part had quite a bit of tarmac for my liking, but the second part was wilder and more beautiful.
Around noon, we had the pleasant surprise of discovering a beautiful granite table with benches, where we all gathered for a picnic.
Despite the rain in the previous days, we didn't have to wade through water.
A recently installed footbridge (photo added) allows you to cross the Houlette.
So our feet stayed relatively dry.
Happy hiking, everyone.
Jean-Marie.

Despite the Autan wind, we retraced the Houlette trail with our Tapamalopieds group, which we had explored on 26/02/2022 on one of the first days heralding spring, allowing us to enjoy different views of the Pyrenees.
We particularly enjoyed a beautiful table with granite benches in a meadow on the outskirts of Blaucavet and the trail that descends into the Houlette valley.

Hello,
A superb, very easy hike with beautiful panoramic views!
Five minutes before the footbridge near the ruins of the mill, we took off our shoes to cross a stream. So be careful during rainy periods, but there's no danger, you just get your feet wet 😁
Thank you for the hike route.

A very pleasant hike with perfect signposting. I think this is the first hike where we didn't get lost.
We'll do it again when the sun is shining.

A lovely, varied route, but too much road for my liking. A nice climb at the end...

We did this route with a group of 15 people and everyone really enjoyed it, especially as the weather was lovely.
But on reflection, I wonder if it wouldn't be better to do this hike in the other direction, as for some people the most difficult part is in the morning and the afternoon is more relaxed.
Apart from that, a big thank you to the hiker who posted this hike online.
