You can park in the Dugauguez stadium car park, very close to the Meuse.
(S/E) Take Quai Paul Bert on the Meuse side and follow it until you pass the stadium. At this point, you will arrive at the nursery/nursery school.
(1) Walk past it and head down to the right to the lake shore, where you can enjoy the fitness trail. In the mist, the trees, half-buried under fluffy scarves, give the landscape a ghostly appearance. You can see the swimming pool buildings in the background, emerging from the fog.
Continuing along the same path, you pass close to the motorway above on the right and continue to the beach.
(2) Leave the complex and take Rue de Bazeilles opposite, then Rue de Mulhouse, which crosses Rue des Fausses Braies, and continue towards the town. Cross Avenue de Verdun, continuing straight ahead, pass the synagogue and cross Place de La Halle.
(3) Turn left and head towards Saint-Charles Church on Place d'Armes, cross the square and turn right onto Rue des Francs Bourgeois until you reach Rue du Rivage. Turn right, then take Rue d'En Bas to the right until you reach Promenoir des Prêtres, go around the fortified castle by taking the moat path.
(4) You will come back to Promenoir des Prêtres and turn right. At the end, turn left onto Rue de La Rochefoucauld. At the roundabout by the Town Hall, take the first right and continue along Rue Rovigo past the hospital, then along Avenue du Général Margueritte. Pass in front of the Dijonval, a former royal factory which is open to visitors.
(5) Turn left onto Rue Cadeau. Cross the bridge and take theGR®14, descending towards the canal bank on the left. Follow the towpath to Avenue Philippoteaux, admiring the reflections of the bourgeois houses on the water's surface. You will reach the Meuse and climb a staircase onto Avenue Philippoteaux.
Turn left, cross this avenue, take Quai Paul Bert on the right and finish at the car park (S/E).
