A beautiful route, a little steep but accessible, along trails and paths. Very peaceful on this Sunday morning despite the busy car park and the open-air café at the start.

A lovely walk through woods and along the water’s edge.
The Oust, the canal, the Aff… a lovely view of Île aux Pies.
Nature in early May is full of colours and scents.
The little chapel of St Méen is a lovely find.
An easy route to follow
A bit of tarmac after Glenac but no cars at all.
We didn’t complete the final section, as we had to make a circular route by crossing the Oust again at point 10.

Yes, because he preferred to follow the course of the Oust rather than get lost in the countryside (even though it’s very beautiful). To each their own.

Between Glénac and La Noë, he ended up taking the main road, when all he had to do was follow the GR to stay on the footpaths!

Overall, the site is very pleasant and relaxing, with very little walking on tarmac.
Halfway through the first stage between Saint-Vincent-sur-Oust and Saint-Jacob, there is an opportunity to have lunch (a packed lunch) on the granite cliff overlooking the river, which offers a beautiful view of the valley.
The bed and breakfast accommodation in Saint-Jacob at the end of the first day was very satisfactory, with comfortable rooms and a warm welcome from the owners.

In conclusion: two great days’ hiking shared with friends, to everyone’s delight.
