Short circular around Moulin de Quip

This is a gentle, enchanting walk that allows you to enjoy the woodland paths and the coolness of the long pond at the 18th-century Moulin de Quip mill.

Description of the walk

Park on the side of the Route de Bude, at the edge of the forest, not far from the Moulin de Quip lodges.

(S/E) On the road on the right-hand side heading towards Bude, look for a path leading off to the left into the woods. Take this path and you will come to aPR®® a little further down. Follow thePR®®, marked in yellow, until you reach a Y-junction.

(1) Stay on thePR®® which runs alongside the pond, then the stream that follows it. Follow the stream to the road. At the road, turn right. Continue to the path that branches off to the left.

(2) Take it. A few dozen metres further on, the path splits in two.

(3) Stay onthe PR®® by turning left. The other path will be the way back. The path then veers to the right and climbs up a small valley. You will come to a track that climbs steeply to the right (not shown on the IGN map).

(4) Leave thePR®® and climb up the path. Soon, there is a sharp right turn for a short change of direction towards the east, then the path heads generally north. You will come to the wide track that leads to Le Brillandais. Turn your back on it and turn right. Descend towards the junction with the PR®®.

(3) Continue for a few dozen metres and end up on the road.

(2) Turn left and, after about 80 metres, turn off onto the wide track on the right. Enter the woods for about 20 metres. Find a path on the left and follow it. Descend slowly to the edge of the pond and return to the first crossroads.

(1) Retrace your steps to return to the car (S/E).

Problem with the description after point n3, no stream on the PR indicated and we probably missed the path to go up on the right because we arrived at a farm (La Briandais). We were able to finish our circular route by taking the road thanks to the GPS.
It's a shame because it was a beautiful start to the hike, combining woods, ponds and countryside.

The only problem is finding the starting point. After that, the route is nice. Beautiful scenery around the lake.
