Saint-Nicolas-de-la-Haie walks
Forest route starting from Saint-Nicolas-de-la-Haie
This route consists mainly of paths along the edge of woods that wind their way past a few isolated houses. The Saint-Arnoult forest is less well known than its neighbour, the Trait-Maulévrier forest, but is well worth a visit.
Walk in the forest of Saint-Arnoult
A lovely walk in the Saint-Arnoult forest, a little-known forest with many paths.
It suffers from its proximity to the much larger Trait-Maulévrier forest, but it is worth getting to know with its hamlets and houses that are a little remote but full of charm
La Frénaye, Lillebonne and La Trinité-du-Mont in a circular
Starting from La Frénaye, the hike takes walkers on a journey of discovery through a doubly rich heritage: that of the former textile industry in the Pays de Caux and that of the even older Roman presence that left its mark on the area. Between rolling landscapes, archaeological remains and ancient sites linked to the textile industry, the route offers a unique immersion, where nature and heritage meet. Ideal for history buffs and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
From the banks of the Seine to the Château de Villequier
This hike allows you to see the Victor Hugo Museum on the banks of the Seine, the Château de Villequier and, above all, beautiful views of the Seine.
On the Brotonne Peninsula
Located in the Brotonne Forest, this hike follows easy paths under the fir trees or at the edge of the forest. It is away from any traffic, even though the starting point is close to the Brotonne Bridge. It is therefore a nature outing.
Between Saint-Wandrille-Rançon and Caudebec-en-Caux
This is a very varied walk, with a variety of landscapes including forest, marshland and plains.
The terrain includes trails, towpaths, paths, small roads and places of interest such as an abbey, a collegiate church, a church, hamlets, a village and a market town.

Rocquefort between the sources of the Durdent and Vert Buisson
Rocquefort, a rural village in the heart of the Pays de Caux, with its castle, the sources of the Durdent in Héricourt-en-Caux, and the Vert Buisson, all accessible via country lanes and woodland paths.
La Mailleraye, between the curves of the river Seine
A circuit between forests, marshes and towpaths along the Seine. If you'd like to, don't hesitate to visit Brigitte, who collects lions and tigers (safely of course!).
La Belgique in Fréville
A route for children, on country roads and through fields. I did this route with my three grandchildren, aged 3 and 8, for fun and to help them learn how to use a map.
Around Vieux-Port
Vieux-Port is the smallest commune in the Eure department. It has preserved the characteristic houses of eastern Normandy, half-timbered farmhouses with cob walls and thatched roofs. It is a popular stopover for boaters sailing on the Seine. The hike crosses the village, but also beautiful forests and typical Norman hamlets, and offers beautiful views of the Seine.
Harelle marshes and peat bogs
Located on the left bank of the Seine, Heurteauville offers an exceptional natural setting, perfect for a peaceful and immersive hike. The village nestles at the foot of the Brotonne Forest, one of the large natural massifs of the Boucles de la Seine Regional Nature Park.
From flowers to fruit around Jumièges Abbey
Hike in the Jumièges region, known for its many fruit tree plantations. In spring, these blossoming trees line the route, which also veers into the forest to visit a tiny chapel nestled among the trees.
The route continues through the countryside, past thatched cottages and local stone houses, passing Jumièges Abbey and a tithe barn.
You can see the Seine from both banks, but also when crossing it by ferry.
Around Jumièges Abbey between the Seine and orchards
An easy and pleasant walk, best done during cherry season or when the many fruit trees along the route are in bloom. Lovely views of the Abbey and the River Seine.
Le Hanouard - Oherville - Low water circuit
An 8-shaped circuit that allows you to choose all or part of the route. The first part leads along the Durdent river and the second part follows the Basses Eaux circuit, which is both leisurely and fun and can be enjoyed with young children.
The Route des Chaumières starting from Bouquelon
Starting from Bouquelon church, take a long descent along a wooded path, then follow the Route des Chaumières along the Marais Vernier, finally returning via the Bois du Plessis.
The Moulin de Pierre and the Brotonne Forest
Discover the Moulin de Pierre in Hauville, open to visitors every Sunday from 2pm to 6pm. In the village, the Church of Saint-Paër or Saint-Paterne is open to the public. A fairly pleasant route, with a little tarmac at the start and end. The route is mainly in the forest, with one fairly steep hill and two others that are much gentler.
Around Mesnil-sous-Jumièges
A short route with varied landscapes: the charming village of Mesnil-sous-Jumièges on the banks of the Seine, then a short detour into the forest, passing near the Manoir d'Agnès Sorel, followed by a walk along the lake opposite the leisure centre, and ending through marshes and orchards along the towpath.
