Description of the walk

The walk follows part of route no. 24. The start is from the car park on the D913 road leading to the orientation table.

(S/E) From the car park, take the path towards the orientation table and the view over the Seine valley. There are picnic tables near the orientation table.

(1) Retrace your steps back to the car park.

(S/E) Leave the car park by following the old road to the right.

(2) After walking alongside the D913 for a few metres, take the path that leads into the forest on the right. The path turns left to follow the main road. At the road (D143), follow it for a few metres to the left and cross the D913 (caution: heavy traffic) to take the forest road opposite.

We went on this walk in early May, on a very hot day. We chose this route to stay in the shade, and that was indeed the case for most of the way. The route is pleasant without being exceptional; one criticism is the proximity of the road between markers D and 3, and then between markers 10 and A.
