Departure from the car park at the entrance to the village of Villequier on the banks of the Seine
(S/E) From the car park at the entrance to the village on the left, take Quai Saint-Léger with the Seine on your left. Pass in front of the Victor Hugo Museum.
(1) At the end of the quay, turn right onto Route de Caumont and then immediately left onto theGR®2, which enters the Villequier Departmental Forest. Pass the Chemins les Étoiles crossroads.
(2) Turn left to continue on theGR®, the path being smaller than the one you have just taken.
(3). Follow Route du Grand Val and turn right to go around Cantepie.
(4) Turn right to walk alongside the small houses and enter the Bois de Caumont. Follow the edge of the Ravine
(5) Leave theGR® and take a small path going up to the right.
(6) When you reach a beautiful building, turn left onto Chemin de Caumont, then Route de Caumont
(7) At the intersection, turn left onto Impasse la Moitié d'Homme, followed by Chemin de la Grenouillère
(8) When you reach a place called La Grenouille, turn right onto the D281, then 50 metres further on, turn left onto Chemin du Jardin des Plantes.
(9) After 250 metres, leave this path and turn left, following the hedge to enter the forest and follow the marked "discovery trail".
(10) At the edge of the woods, turn right onto the D281. Pass in front of the Château de Villequier.
(11) After a three-way junction, turn right at a right angle to rejoin theGR®2. Follow the Chemin de la Maurée and then the path through the woods to descend towards the town hall. Turn left to head towards the car park, crossing the D81 (S/E).
