Parking is available on the D22 at the entrance to the village opposite the bakery
(S/E) Head towards the church. Turn left, follow the abbey wall and continue along Rue Saint-Jacques.
(1) At the crossroads at the top of the hill, turn right into Clos Saint-Jacques and then, 50 m further on, follow the path opposite on the hillside. The path will approach the road and then veer away from it to reach a crossroads.
(2) Follow the path on the left until you reach the road (D33).
(3) Follow the road to the right and head towards the hamlet. Cross the two bridges over the Rançon, arrive at the crossroads and turn right onto the RD37. In Rançon, at the church, go up the street on the left for 50 m. It continues before the bend as a grassy path that climbs up opposite and ends in a very steep embankment a few metres long.
(4) Turn right and continue for a few metres to reach the crossroads. Cross the road (D490) on the left and follow the path on the right. After the bend, the path becomes a little difficult (tall grass and nettles for 400 metres, then rough terrain). Join a path coming from the left and continue to the hamlet.
(5) Take Rue de la Haie des Prés opposite until you leave the hamlet. At the sign for the guest house, follow the grassy path on the left until you reach the forest entrance.
(6) Turn left onto the road and immediately right (leave the road furthest to the left). After the forest house, turn left onto the wide forest path. Continue until after the two hairpin bends.
(7) Shortly before the forest exit, take the road on the right and continue until you reach Rue Edouard Herriot.
(8) Turn left and go down this street for 50 metres, then turn right onto Sente de la Vignette. At the end, turn right and join Rue de la République. Cross it and follow the street opposite between the collegiate church and the old houses. In front of the collegiate church, turn slightly left onto Rue du 8 Mai until you reach Quai Guilbaud.
(9) Cross the road, pass in front of the town hall, turn left and follow the Seine for 1300m until you reach a car park.
(10) In the car park, turn left, cross the D982 and go up the Sente des Pêcheurs opposite. At the top, turn right onto Rue Corniche de Retival and head towards the Pont de Brotonne until you reach the access road.
(11) Cross the road (D37) and head straight ahead to cross the poplar grove. At the end, turn left and then immediately right until you reach the barrier to the developed area. After the barrier, turn left and follow the signs for Abbaye along the Fontenelle.
(12) At the end of the path, in front of the abbey, turn right twice to return to the starting point (S/E).
