Walk along reasonable flat paths by canal and river.

Nice easy route starting with the Wilts & Berks canal, then along Abberd Brook  - lots of opportunities to spot a variety of water birds and even otters have been seen. You walk up out of the town and into the countryside where the birdlife moves to red kites and buzzards. An amble through High Penn nature reserve with great views sees you walking down and back into Calne.

A pleasant Wiltshire walk across chalk downland to the highest point in the county. The walk also includes some other interesting features typical of this area.

A six and a half mile walk with one steep hill which affords many open views on a mix of quiet roads and paths - some through wooded areas and some with broad open views.

This Wiltshire walk provides a way of visiting many of the interesting World Heritage Neolithic sites around the village of Avebury including the Stone Circle, Silbury Hill and West Kennett Long Barrow.

The North Wessex Downs provides some good walking terrain and this extended route from Avebury takes you onto the downs to follow a section of the Ridgeway.

A walk with fine views over Bath. Then a taste of 19th Century transport following the Somerset and Dorset disused railway through two tunnels, with information about the railway's history. Later picking up the Kennet and Avon Canal for the return journey to Bath.

A Somerset walk in the northern part of the county. The undulating route explores the hills and valleys to the south of Southstoke using field paths, the course of an old railway and tracks.

A circular walk from Frome to Whatley, then to Nunney along Nunney Combe and back to Frome via Critchill Farm. It features the eastern end of the East Mendip Way.

Along the downs past Giant's Grave to drop down to Pewsey, then return across fields via Kepnal and Fyfield to Milton Lilbourne.

Across field tracks to Easton Royal, then up onto the Downs and along to Giant's Grave prehistoric long barrow with wonderful views across Pewsey Vale before returning to Milton Lilbourne

This Wiltshire walk climbs onto the Pewsey Downs from where there are excellent views across the Vale of Pewsey. The route uses a number of national trails before returning along the towpath of the Kennet and Avon Canal and offers a range of scenery from rolling downs to the open aspect of the Vale of Pewsey.

This is a circular country and town walk, starting at Bath’s - Lansdown Park and Ride. The first part is along the Cotswold Way, the second is a walk-through of the Georgian City of Bath, calling at the Royal Crescent, the Circus and finishing at the Bath Abbey. Return to Lansdown P&R is by bus.

Starting from Postern Hill Car Park this circular route explore much of the beautiful forest including several of the named oaks and the arboretum.

This walk starts at Lansdown Golf Club and takes in part of The Cotswold Way and spectacular views out across the scenery. It also takes you past sites of historic interest in the Battle of Lansdown.

The Ridgeway the other way. The National Trail from NE to SW. The Stage 6 is a short walk as you will probably have to continue a bit further to get a place to stay and maybe head to Swindon or Trowbridge for onward travel. The countryside is a mixture of arable land, changing colour with the seasons, and areas of sheep or cattle grazed grassland. Some of the best views are from Smeathe’s Ridge as you climb gently up to Barbury Castle.

Doynton is a village situated at the southern end of the Cotswolds, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, approximately 14.5km (9.0) miles from Bath. The walk starts from the Holy Trinity Church, Doynton, and takes you up the Cotswold escarpment, over fields, through quiet lanes and valleys, to the village of Dyrham, before returning to Doynton

An easy pleasant walk around pretty villages of Easton Grey and Sherston Parva (Pinkney), near Malmesbury.

This circular walk set in the southern end of the English Cotswold, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The walk is a mixture of open fields, quiet country lanes, with one section of the walk using pathways within the National Arboretum at Westonbirt. The walk passes through two Cotswold villages : Tresham and Leighterton.

This is a circular walk starting in the Cotswold village of Hillesley. The route takes you up the Cotswold escarpment, over fields, through quiet lanes and valleys, to the villages of Alderly and Wortley, before returning to Hillesley. The Cotswold's are a range of hills that rise from the Severn Valley. The “Wolds,” or rolling hills, is an AONB in the west country of the UK. Here the past is evident in the many honey-coloured stone villages and farms.

This circular walk starts from the National Trust car park at Newark Park, Wotton under Edge. On leaving the estate, the route makes its way downhill towards Ozleworth Park, down into Ozleworth Bottom, before climbing up Hen’s Ridge and linking up with the Monarch’s and the Cotswold Way, before returning to Newark Park.
