Park along the road just beyond the railway bridge in Semington.
(S/E) Access the canal footpath at the bridge and walk west along the canal, there are many things to see - wildlife, canal boats and the occasional air ambulance! Walk along the canal until you reach the road bridge at Staverton.
(1) Then, access the road and walk north along the road through the village - there is pavement along this stretch.
(2) Once over the railway, watch for the footpath that takes you back to the east, it’s after the pub, on the opposite side of the road and takes you past the cereal manufacturing plant and alongside to railway to the river.
(3) Follow the footpath along the river - there is a handy green area or 2 with benches for picnics if desired.
(4) Follow the footpath across the field to farm at Whaddon and then along a short stretch of concrete road, past the church before heading south to rejoin the canal and head back to the car at Semington. Last stretch is overgrown and it is possible to head directly south across the fields a little earlier to avoid this if desired.(S/E)
