Pouancé walks

A pleasant route that takes you along paths to discover the pretty countryside of Pouancé, its ponds, its castle and the charming village with its narrow streets and beautiful bourgeois houses. A superb family walk with lovely views.

Le Theil de Bretagne is a predominantly rural commune with a rich architectural, religious and natural heritage. The Résidence Bon Abri, the Notre-Dame de Beauvais Chapel, listed as a Historic Monument, the Château de La Rigaudière and the Church, with its patriotic stained-glass windows, are just a few examples. This country walk crosses the commune of Theil-de-Bretagne. The circular starts at the Roche aux Fées covered passage, an extremely well-preserved iconic monument.

This hike takes us through the countryside around Le Theil-de-Bretagne, where we can discover a landscape of hedgerows and orchards as we stroll along, enjoying the peace and quiet and gentle way of life.

The route starts at the Roche aux Fées dolmen, the best-preserved iconic monument in Europe. The walk takes you through meadows and fields, perfect for relaxation. The crossing of Theil-de-Bretagne is fairly short, so you can take the opportunity to stop at the wash house park. The route continues through the hamlet of La Rigaudiére and the pond of the same name.

This small 2 km² lake between Nantes and Châteaubriant will delight you with the beauty of the site and all the activities on offer: hiking, horse riding, mountain biking, fishing, swimming, sailing, etc. The walking tour takes you along some very pleasant paths.

The Vassé Pond was created as ecological compensation for the construction of the Paris-Rennes high-speed rail line. There are educational panels on biodiversity and an old manor house. Many animals have found a home here, including sheep, Scottish cows, donkeys and ducks. Picnic tables, dry toilets, a shelter and a barbecue area are available.

A route combining the tranquillity of the towpath with the energy of the town.Let yourself be carried away by the tranquillity of the towpath along the Mayenne River, then head to the town of Château-Gontier-sur-Mayenne to discover its charm, nestled between nature and heritage.

Discover an unusual trail, following the banks of "La Rigole Alimentaire”, a small canal feeding into Vioreau Pond. The canal crosses the valley of the Erdre thanks to four aqueducts with eight to ten arches and travels underground over 600 m. It is, moreover, spanned by many picturesque stone bridges... During your walk you can admire the Castle of La Lucinière and the wooded area on the other side of the Valley of Erdre.

Set off to explore the Touchois bocage and its small sunken lanes. As soon as you set off, enjoy the 360° panorama from the Mont Juillet site. Its orientation table will help you to interpret the landscape around you. Then set off to explore the surrounding countryside. As you wander along the paths, you may come across an old building, a manor house, a calvary, a well or even a bread oven, each of which bears witness to a bygone era...

With family, friends or on your own, venture off the beaten track of the Mayenne towpath to discover the heritage and crafts hidden in the towns of La Roche-Neuville, Loigné-sur-Mayenne and Saint-Sulpice.

This walk is flat and allows you to follow the Erdre river before climbing back up from L'Isle along the Ruisseau de Montagné. This route is very natural, except for the section through the town centre (where we pass over a milestone on the Way of St James).

Stroll through the historical heart of Vitré, city of art and history, with its medieval streets and alleys. Wander in quest of the heritage wonders with this trail. A true escape through history and the vitréen "art de vivre". End the walk by a visit of the medieval castle and its museum before going back to the starting point. Follow the description rather than the GPX tracks.

This route is the first stage of a 96 km circular through the Vitré countryside. Consisting mainly of sunken lanes, this route will take you, among other places, to the Château des Rochers-Sévigné and the Valière lake.

The village of Languin still bears traces of the old coal mines, which remained in operation until the early 20th century. The route will take you along the banks of the "Rigole Alimentaire" (food canal), past the mine director's residence and its 300-year-old Lebanese cedar tree. From the village, you will enjoy a remarkable view of the surrounding countryside, which rises to an altitude of 55 metres.

This walk is a shorter version of the 18.7 km "Between the Loire and the vineyards" walk. You will cross Drain between hillsides, wooded paths, fields and vineyards. Take the time to observe the typical flora and fauna of each of these environments, as well as the unobstructed view of the Loire valleys as you cross the vineyards of Drain.

A lovely, easy and picturesque walk around the Vicoin: marked route no. 3. There are many points of interest along the route, including a playground and a leisure centre. There is a dangerous section 500 m along the D500 between the marker (4) and the marker (5). The road can be busy at weekends. Avoid with children.

Set off to explore the Stream-Brest Canal, its "Rigole Alimentaire" and the surrounding countryside.

This is a very pretty route in the Oudonnaise countryside, featuring the Pilardière communal estate and the Hâvre valley. The route consists almost entirely of paths and trails, with very little tarmac. It is accessible in all weathers, except along the banks of the Hâvre during periods of high water. Many sections are tree-lined, making it particularly pleasant in hot weather. Depending on the season, you may be able to admire magnificent carpets of cyclamen at the foot of the trees on the Pilardière estate.

This route will take you through the Châteaubourg countryside where, as its name suggests, there are several ponds: Pont de Pierre Pond, Roches Bises Pond and Grand Fayelle Pond. You will also walk along a small section of the Corbière Forest. This route is FFRandonnée certified. It can be done on foot or by bike.

You don't like tarmac. You enjoy being able to enjoy shade in bright sunshine, walking through dense undergrowth and following the course of a river. A few climbs and descents don't scare you. Then this beautiful hike along the Vallée du Hâvre from Oudon is sure to satisfy you.

An easy walk starting from Genest-Saint-Isle, with very little elevation gain. The paths are beautiful, and you may see deer. In rainy weather, two or three sections are flooded for a few metres, but you can get around this by walking along the edge of the adjacent field. A beautiful finish along a pretty little stream.

Starting from Montjean-sur-Loire, the second stage first follows the river upstream, passing by the Île de Chalonnes. In this town, you cross to the south bank to climb the Corniche Angevine, which you follow for a few kilometres before descending into the Layon valley. Following the greenway that runs alongside the river, you will reach the Pont Barré, the site of a battle in the Vendée and the end of this stage.

Set off to explore the "Nortais" bocage, between the canal and sunken lanes. Along the way, discover the "La Tindière" lock, guest rooms and gourmet terrace. Along the Stream-Brest canal, you will find a covered picnic table along the towpath. Boating is available from March to October, allowing you to watch the pleasure boats.

Hike through the Boulaie woods, along the ponds and in the grounds of the Château de la Houssaye. Starting from the church, explore the countryside of Saint Laurent-du-Mottay and discover the architecture of the Mauges region and the orchards for which Anjou is famous. A route with little elevation gain, perfect for enjoying with friends or family!

A pretty, easy, well-marked walk passing by a chapel, the Château du Gué, the Ancienne Fonderie de Servon-sur-Vilaine, the Oratoire Saint-Mathurin, the Vilaine, the old mill, the protected Pas Davy site, the greenhouses (mainly tomatoes) and the calvary. The return journey takes you along a leafy driveway through a housing estate.

Enjoy the Loire and the historical past of Montjean-sur-Loire by hiking past the various lime kilns that made this village the largest port on the Loire in the 18th and 19th centuries. You will also discover some of the thousand mills that once operated in the region. Enjoy a moment in the heart of nature as you walk through vineyards and along small paths. Hiking trail in the municipalities of Montjean-sur-Loire and La Pommeraye.

In Montjean-sur-Loire, the path that winds through the Châteaupanne Sensitive Natural Area takes you back in time. The path goes deep into the woods, runs along the banks of the Loire or follows old stone walls. Further on, you climb a coral reef, now a limestone quarry, where the sea was 400 million years ago. Further on, a strange fortress takes you back to the era of the lime burners.

A short walk along the banks of the Vilaine and Chevré rivers, also known as La Veuvre, taking you around Acigné. Please note that during periods of heavy rain, some parts of the route may be flooded.
