Description of the walk

Start from the car park at the La Rincerie leisure centre.

(S/E) Opposite the children’s play area and toilets, turn right onto the small tarmac road leading to the sailing centre. Continue straight ahead along this road, passing the three houses on your right, then at the end of the tarmac road, follow the path running alongside the lake. Continue straight ahead to reach the wakepark.

(1) At the wakepark, turn left to join the small road and follow the embankment to cross the lake. After the dam, turn left onto the grassy path that runs alongside the lake. Continue straight on for 1.5 km until you reach a stone path.

(2) Turn left to cross the lake again (on the right, a Natural Area of Ecological, Faunistic and Floristic Interest). After crossing the lake, continue straight on for about 250m until you reach a path branching off to the left.

(3) Turn left onto the path and follow it for 500m to the edge of the woods.

(4) Turn left to join the swin golf course.

(5) Cross the woods again for 200m, then turn right and walk 250m to reach the lake. Turn right onto the path that runs alongside the lake to reach the beach, the children’s play area and the La Rincerie car park (S/E).

A lovely route with a lovely view of the leisure centre. The route alternates between shade and sunshine. So many walkers. And in the sunshine!

A lovely route to do with the family; the section through the forest is nicely shaded and the lake is lovely. I really liked the picnic tables – perfect.

It’s a brilliant route; the Rincerie lake is stunning, with lots of birds. This is the third time we’ve done it as a family. I’d definitely recommend it.
