A round trip on the south bank of the Bidouze from Guiche.

This family-friendly walk will take you along the banks of the Adour and its alluvial plain. ¹ The alluvial plains are vast floodplains frequented by herds of semi-wild horses. The area is rich in wildlife, including storks, egrets and grey herons. This walk follows the old towpath along the banks of the Adour and can also be done by mountain bike. It has recently been tarmacked from the start to Saubusse. As mentioned above, as the alluvial plains are floodplains, it is best not to walk there after heavy rain.

A round trip route along the banks of the Ardanavy to its mouth at the Adour. This family walk can be done with children on their bicycles.

The alluvial plains and marshy lands were drained in the late 17th/early 18th century with the help of the Dutch, who were then working on the Bayonne estuary.

A flat route, very interesting for those who love nature and birds (best done during winter migration): grey cranes, ducks, geese, wading birds, etc.

As its name suggests, this hike runs along the Barrage d'Orx marsh in the nature reserve. The nature reserve consists of the Barrage marsh, which you can walk around, and the North Marsh and Central Marsh, which are closed to the public. The Burret Marsh, to the east, is located outside the nature reserve.

On a sunny plateau overlooking the Bidouze river, Arancou is a village with white walls and a remarkable architectural and human heritage. A historic stop on one of the hiking trails to Santiago de Compostela, the Via Turonensis, Arancou built its reputation around a hospital-priory that welcomed pilgrims from the 13thcentury onwards. There are also a few mansions, once dedicated to hospitality, whose architectural details can still be appreciated. In the village, the Church of Notre-Dame is also worth a visit for its style, which combines a long Romanesque plan with Gothic vaults and capitals. Along the trails, the surrounding hills promise fresh air in the forest, where you can see beautiful hundred-year-old oak trees, while the Bidouze valley offers peace and quiet and cool riverbanks.

To be honest, this route does take you along a few tarmac roads, but they are very quiet. An easy route accessible to all in the hills above Ayherre and Labastide Clairence.

A circular route through the hills and moors of Hasparren.This route has been published by the Basque Country Community of Communes.It is included here for use with the Visorando app.

A short walk inspired by a local resident, to discover the moorland near the Étang d'Hardy and Étang Blanc lakes. There are also sandy passages and a pine tree harvesting site, as this is also part of life in the Landes region. The end of the route is along the road, as the path mapped on the left no longer exists.

This section of the Sentier de l'Adour between Candresse and Hinx can be done in both directions as a round trip or as a one-way trip. In this case, you will need two vehicles.

A circular walk in the moors of Jatxou, passing by the Chapel of Saint-Sauveur, a very old stop on the road to Compostela. This route is mainly on small roads, but traffic is reasonable.

Wooded hike through pine, oak and acacia forests, passing by the miraculous spring of Buglose.

Hike proposed by the Syndicat Intercommunal Nive-Nivelle, transcribed here for use with Visorando. This hike will take you to the heights of Halsou, through moors, forests and farmland offering superb panoramic views of the mountains and the Nive valley. It includes a few slopes, but they are quite manageable. The route is marked in yellow.
