Access by car to the starting point. Parking on both sides of the road between Étang d'Hardy and Étang Blanc.
Several parking options along the Étang Blanc / RD189 on the Seignosse side (may be useful in season).
(S/E) Head towards the only path leading into the moorland: pine trees and royal fern. Walk along the Étang d'Hardy.
(1) At the four-way intersection, turn right to continue along the pond: reeds, cork oaks, etc.
(2) Continue on your right. Along the pond you will see several private fishermen's/hunters' huts. You will come to a fork in the path.
(3) Take the left path to descend towards the moor and, at the next fork, continue left until you reach the four-way intersection.
(4) Continue straight ahead until you reach some cultivated plots.
(5) Continue along the path to the left. This section will be sandy. You will come to a plot of land where pine trees have just been felled (04/2024). Continue along the sandy path.
(6) Enter the Landes forest again. Go around a pond on the right (formed after heavy rains). There is a mystical aspect here that recalls all the Landes beliefs surrounding the region's various springs. You will come to another fork in the road.
(7) Turn left and ignore all the side paths, continuing straight ahead until you reach a clearing (pine forest). Continue until you reach the D357 (Route de Soustons).
(8) Turn left and continue straight ahead until you reach a T-junction.
(9) Turn right and at the next hairpin bend, turn left. Pass near a small pond (dry in season?) and continue straight ahead until you reach the D189.
(10) Watch out for traffic. Cross the road to enjoy the views of the Étang Blanc and the wider hard shoulder. Follow this road to the car park (S/E).
A pleasant route in the shade of pine trees. Ideally, you can rely on Visorando. Many roads cross the route, where you can meet interesting people.
