The start of the short route is in the village of Heugas on the Route de Pintoun, about 100 m from the junction with the Route de Pouillon.
Please note: see “Practical Information”
(S/E) Head east along the Chemin de Carrère de Tuc. After 200 m, turn left onto an overgrown country lane between a small wood and a field: you’ll start climbing! Cross a ditch and walk alongside a vineyard.
(1) Once you reach the vineyard, follow the road straight ahead for about 2.5 km.
(2) Turn left onto a road, then turn right at the junction about thirty metres further on. Walk alongside a field on your right and a trimmed cypress hedge, then veer right to reach the esplanade of the Moulin de Bénesse at an altitude of 97 m.
(3) Take in the scenery, the mill and the information about its renovation and the construction of the bread oven.
Continue downhill to the bakery, crossing an arboretum, and head for the car park. Join the D429 and turn left towards Heugas. Watch out for traffic! Ignore the first road on the left and carry straight on until you reach the four-way junction.
(4) Turn left onto Route de Pintoun, which takes you straight back to your starting point after about 3 km (S/E).
