Before reaching the hamlet of La Fully, at an altitude of approximately 1,180 m, in a left-hand bend after a few houses, the road is no longer cleared of snow. If possible, you can park your vehicle on the side of the road.
(S/E) From the car park, take the path that climbs due east.
(1) Turn right onto the road. Continue to Fully, then quickly to Le Borbieu, at 1,338 m in Les Plaines Joux.
(2) At the intersection, follow the road to the left to continue towards Ajon (signposted).
(3) Once you reach the hamlet, leave the road and turn left towards Pointe de Miribel. The markings are still visible. The rest of the route is fairly obvious. The path veers slightly to the right and joins a fork where you need to go left.
(4) Climb straight up to the Calvary of Miribel, a religious heritage site with seventeen red marble columns, carved on site in 1808 by Joseph-Marie Félisaz.
Follow the Way of the Cross to the foot of Pointe de Miribel, which you reach by turning right under the rocks. Walking along the summit, you will quickly reach the top at 1,581 metres.
(5). Statue of the Virgin Mary. You will be treated to a splendid view, including the Mont Blanc massif, the Aravis, the Bornes, the Môle, the Jura, Lake Geneva, the Vallée Verte and many of the Chablais peaks. There is an orientation table a little further down.
The return journey follows the same route in beautiful powder snow, in a straight line. It's more fun.
(4) Go straight ahead, follow La Corbassière and leave Ajon on your left. The existing tracks will take you back to the outward route, a little north of the intersection you passed on the way out.
(2) Turn right after a small hill. In several places, you can turn left to reach La Fully, cutting through the forest. Otherwise, follow the road.
(1) Continue straight ahead and then take the left turn to return to the starting point (S/E).
