Park in the Bonne Dame car park.
(S/E) Take the small path that climbs behind the hiking sign.
(1) Opposite the chapel, turn right to go down the steps, then turn right. Turn left into Rue de la Coursière. Cross Rue Victor Hugo, turn right, walk past the bakery and turn left into a small alleyway that leads down to the river. Enjoy a view reserved for locals.
(2) Retrace your steps, turn right at the top, walk past the bakery and Saint-Benoit Chapel, which is a venue for exhibitions and concerts. Go down Rue Raspail on your right, then cross the Pont Vieux bridge. Admire the houses with balconies. After the bridge, turn right twice and you will arrive at the banks of the Creuse.
(3) Turn left onto Rue du Moulin de Bord. Follow the path to Moulin du Rabois, which is now the Moulin des Beaux Arts.
(4) Follow the road, turn right onto Rue Joseph Barbotin, and go under the railway line. At the crossroads, cross Rue Auclert Descottes and take Rue du Général Leclerc opposite for 50 metres. Turn immediately left onto the small Rue des Marais. You will arrive at the swimming pool and the frog gardens.
(5) Turn left to cross the gardens. Take advantage of the stream and shaded areas to cool off! Take thethird path on the right to exit the park and reach the stairs. Climb to the top, turn left onto Allée des Acacias, take the next stairs on your left, and admire the view.
(6) At the bottom, continue straight ahead, follow Rue de la Grenouille, turn right onto Rue Auclert Descottes, then after 30 metres turn right again onto Rue Rosette. Continue left, then turn right onto Rue Barbès. Follow the street to the crossroads. Cross and take Rue Barra opposite. Turn right and cross the car park in front of the restaurant. Leave the car park by turning right, then turn right again at the fork to reach the station.
(7) Opposite the station, take the greenway on the left. Follow it to the tax office and turn right onto Route de Châteauroux. Then take thefirst left: Rue de la Grelette. Follow it to the end. You will come to a busy main road, Rue Gambetta. Turn left onto it, then take thefirst right onto Rue des Chambons. You will pass the campsite and arrive at the iron bridge. There is a beautiful view of the river.
(8) After the bridge, turn left towards Argenton. You will walk along a limestone cliff with visible flint layers in places. Continue straight ahead (Rue de l'Abattoir) until you reach the roundabout. Take thesecond exit (opposite) onto Rue Notre-Dame. Continue until you reach a small passage on your right and go up to La Bonne Dame.
(1) Return to the car park, possibly via the garden behind the chapel, and you will find a staircase on the left that leads back to the car park (S/E).
