The start is located at Place du 8 Mai 1945, at the car park of the library and the old town hall, opposite the church. There are no specific markings.
(S/E) Take the cycle path to the south that runs alongside the old town hall building, then follow it to the left towards the east.
(1) At the second intersection, take the path downhill to the right (blue markings).
Leave the path leading to the shooting range on your left and continue downhill on a small road leading to the Château de Courbas (new town hall).
(2) Take the main road on the left for 40 metres, then take the carriageway on the right heading west. This leads to the D48, which you should cross carefully to take the pavement on the opposite side on the left.
(3) Turn right towards the Moulin Rouge (lodge): you will then arrive at a meadow on the banks of the Creuse. Follow the yellow-marked "Val de Creuse" path on the left: it will take you to the Moulin du Vivier. Head back up towards the D48 via the Chemin du Moulin,
(4) Turn right, then right again onto Rue de Lafont. Continue along this street until you reach the wash house, then straight on into Rue des Martinettes.
(5) Turn into the second street on the left, Rue Roger Cazala. Back on the D48, turn right for 100 metres, then cross carefully.
(6) Turn left onto Route de la Maison Rouge. Go to the end of the small road (about 1km), continue left onto a wide carriageway that leads to another small road. Take it to the right for 250m (yellow-red markings ofthe GRP® de Pays du Val de Creuse) then turn right onto the cycle path (barrier) and follow it for 600m.
(7) At the new barrier, take the path up to the left, towards the east, which runs alongside a vineyard planted in a clearing (please note that there are no longer any markings). Leave a path on the right leading into the Bois Buret and continue to a new intersection; take the grassy path on the left.
(8) At the next junction, go up to the right, leaving a path on the left, then, 100 metres further on, continue along a left-hand bend, leaving a private path opposite. The path leaves the woods and zigzags across a plateau in the middle of fields, then descends towards the small road taken earlier.
(9) Turn right and follow the road, leaving two paths on the left (notably thesecond one marked in yellow).
(10) In a left-hand bend, take the path on the right leading into a copse. Follow it for 900 metres to reach a wide carriageway. Turn left and then take the road on the left at the next intersection.
(11) After 100 metres, take the road on the right, then the grassy path on the left. After 100 metres, turn right near Haut Vilaine. The path leads to the D48a.
(12) Turn right, then take the path on the left. Pass several paths on the right to reach the high-voltage power lines and continue along a bend to turn west.
You will come back onto a small road leading to the Vilaine-Bouchard farm, which you have just gone around. Turn right and then leave the road onto a path on the right. Cross the D48d and continue straight ahead on a wide path for 600 metres.
(13) Leave the path that turns left and go straight ahead along a narrow path (log barrier). After 30 metres, turn left onto a wide path and follow it to the houses in the Grandes Chaumes neighbourhood.
(14) Turn left onto Rue du Carroir, then right onto Rue des Cabats. Cross the D48d and continue straight ahead towards Les Chaignats.
(15) Take the carriage road on the right, which leads to a street near the water tower.
(16) At the crossroads, turn left and continue along Impasse des Noëls, then follow a grassy path to admire the view over the Creuse valley. Retrace your steps to the start of the cul-de-sac and turn left onto Ruelle du Passage du Trait.
Walk down to a pumping station, then turn left onto Rue des Anciens d'AFN, which will take you back to the church and the car park where you started (S/E).
