Stroll around Argenton-sur-Creuse

Park in the Champ de Foire car park, easily accessible via the D48 when arriving from the south.
Walk without dedicated signage.

(S/E) From the car park, cross the Place du Champ de Foire (towards the south) then turn right onto Rue d'Orjon.

(1) At the fork, keep left onto Rue du Rabois. At the end of the street, continue along the path beside the Creuse river. Join Rue du Moulin de Bord and continue straight ahead. After the right-hand bend, follow Rue de l'Abreuvoir to the left and rejoin Rue d'Orjon.

(2) Turn left to cross the Creuse river on the Vieux Pont.

(3) On the other side, take the first street on the left, Rue Raspail. Ignore the street on the right, arrive at Rue Victor Hugo, cross and go up opposite via Rue de la Coursière, ignoring Rue Notre-Dame on the right. Further up, at the intersection, turn right onto Rue Chapelle Notre-Dame and follow the street, which curves to the left further on, until you reach the Chapelle de la Bonne-Dame.

(4) Go back down the stairs, cross Rue Chapelle Notre-Dame, and continue straight down Rue (escalier) de la Cannelle. After a few turns, you will arrive at Rue Notre-Dame. Follow it to the left for about twenty metres, then go down the stairs on the right, which lead to Rue Victor Hugo. Take a few steps to the left and turn right (Rue des Vieilles Boucheries) to reach the Vieux Pont.

(3) Return to the right bank.

(2) Follow Rue d'Orjon straight ahead. It leads directly back to Place du Champ de Foire. Cross the square again and return to the car park (S/E).

Very easy walk, no special equipment required.
