Description of the walk

A few "dedicated" parking spaces are available along the small road to Grandes Roches. From Chabenet, follow the main road eastwards, cross the railway line, turn left onto the D100, then right (the direction of the wooden bridge is signposted from here), at the crossroads follow Bel Air, pass the hamlet, cross the Bouzanne, turn right and you will find the car parks.

(S/E) Take the small road towards the crossroads you passed by car.

(1) At the crossroads, continue straight ahead on the small road.

(2) Pass under the Petites Roches railway viaduct.

(3) Further on, a path leads to the riverbank, where there is a footbridge. Retrace your steps.

(3) Continue left on the road until you see the roofs of Château de Chabenet on the other side of the river.

(4) Return along the same route you came, to the crossroads near the car park.

(1) Follow the road to the right, cross the bridge over the Bouzanne and, about 50 metres further on, take the path on the left and follow it to the covered bridge.

(5) Cross this bridge and, at the fork in the path, keep right to rejoin the road and the car park (S/E).
