Pernes walks
The hills of Faux
A beautiful, undulating trail on the Ternois hillsides. Donjon de Bours (keep).
The Clarence, starting from Sachin
Starting from the small village of Sachin, follow the River Clarence, which rises at Le Buich and flows for nearly 32.8 km before joining the River Lys. You’ll pass through the village of Pernes and finally Aumerval before heading back down towards Sachin.
The two woods and the Coqueline
A very pleasant nature trail in dry weather, but becomes more challenging in wet weather: grassy sections (a good test for your shoes, deep ruts, muddy sections).
Warning: October 2024. While it's relatively easy to get through the ruts, the last part of the path out of the wood (before point 9) is in a terrible state. The path has been broken up by machinery and you can only pass along the sides, which are themselves very difficult. It's very slippery and sometimes you have to change sides, which is a real challenge. This used to be a signposted mountain bike trail, is it still?
Around Bailleul-les-Pernes
A short route, on paths and minor roads, following theGR®127.
In the footsteps of the Bours family
From the Bours Keep, passing by the Fontaine de la Baloche fountain, then through the Bois de Lanoy woods and past Antigneul Castle, the hike follows grassy paths offering beautiful views.
Path from the keep starting from Bours
This hike starts at the Bours keep and takes us along paths and through woods to the top of a hill with remarkable views. You will descend via Les Eguerguettes towards the village. Please note: the descent is difficult in wet weather. The hike ends with a short tour of the narrow streets of Bours.
The Bours Keep
A walk starting from the Bours Keep that takes you up onto the plateau with some remarkable views. You’ll then head back down towards the village and finish with a short stroll through the narrow streets of Bours.
The hillsides of the Clarence
From Camblain, the route quickly climbs as you make your way to Floringhem. The descent to Pernes follows a very beautiful path. I have recently altered the route through Pernes, using different side lanes. It is after Marest that things get a bit tricky, with sections of the path that can be quite muddy (though the paths have improved considerably in recent times). The return route goes via Mont Duquenne.
Le Saint-Quirin de la Clarence depuis Camblain-Châtelain
Entre campagne et bois, sur de bon chemins, venez découvrir les alentours de Camblain-Châtelain
La Creuse de Boyaval
In the Ternois, after a loop on the small roads of Sains-les-Pernes, head towards Fiefs, before descending to Boyaval via a wild hollow and returning to Sains-les-Pernes via the Chemin Vert, which would benefit from regular maintenance.
It is best to walk this route in dry weather, as some sections are difficult.
This is a difficult route because the paths are tricky and you need to be careful not to miss the entrances to some of the trails.
The bottom of Tangry
A short walk in the hills with a nice little climb. A breath of fresh air, especially if the wind is blowing. A few roads, but they’re quiet, apart from the D 916.
Nature around Amettes
A lovely nature walk around the little village of Amettes, home to the birthplace of Saint Benoît-Joseph Labre.
From La Nave to Puits Sans Fond
Numerous trails for a walk that stretches between mountains and valleys. This hike is a great way to spend a day outdoors.
At the end of December 2019, after the rains, the paths became very difficult and particularly slippery (even on the flat sections!), both on the normal route and on the alternative route. Under these conditions, the walk can be classified as very difficult.
From Diéval to Ourton via the footpaths
You’ll discover these two villages linked by beautiful paths, some stony, some earthen. You should spot plenty of flora and fauna along the way. It’s advisable to do this route in dry weather as some sections can be muddy.
