The bottom of Tangry

(S/E) In Tangry, with your back to the square by the D 77, head off to the right. At the junction, leave the D 77 and take the D 99 opposite, heading towards Hestrus. Ignore the first road on the left (towards the stadium) and carry on until you reach a second one, just before the power line.

.(1) Turn left, then pass under the power line before turning right to reach a T-junction.

(2) Follow the small road on the left to reach the point beneath the power line.

(3) Then take the grassy path on the left which passes in front of a wind turbine and joins the D 77. Cross it carefully and continue along the path opposite. Stay on this path (which isn’t always in very good condition) until you reach the D 916 at the entrance to Bours.

(4) Follow it for 200 metres on the left (Caution: traffic moves quickly despite the speed limit) until you reach a junction (Vierge).

(5) Turn left to reach the hamlet of Noyelles. At the T-junction, turn right, then turn left onto the first track. Climb up to the T-junction near a reservoir.

(6) Turn left. Stay on the ridge until you reach a small road.

(7) Follow it straight on, passing a wayside cross, until you come to a track on the right, just before a farm.

(8) Take this path on the right (it may be a bit damp) and reach a small road.

(9) Follow it to the left and turn into the first street on the left to join the D 77. The starting point is on the right in the square by the D 77 (S/E).

A relatively easy route, but I’d still recommend wearing good walking shoes.

From point (8), you can return to the start by continuing straight ahead.
