Le Moucherotte via Saint-Nizier
Climbing the Moucherotte via the east face from Saint-Nizier is a wild and little-known route. The return via the large ski jump (on foot, fortunately) is also unusual.
Yellow and green markings, as well as white/red.
The Bruyant Gorges and the Pas de la Bergère
Bucolic walk along the Bruyant, at the bottom of the gorges, before reaching the Moucherotte ridges via the Pas de la Bergère, which can be difficult in wet weather.
Do this in this direction as the descent via the Pas de la Bergère can be difficult or even dangerous after rain.
300 m below the Cabane des Ramées (south), a path on the left in a meadow (cairn) leads to the Trou St Michel, a cave that emerges from the cliff (incorrectly located on the map)
Le Moucherotte
A fairly challenging hike starting from the Tremplin car park (built for the 1968 Grenoble Olympic Games) leading to the Moucherotte orientation table and its wonderful 360° panorama.
5-day crossing of the Vercors from Grenoble to Châtillon-en-Diois
This is a trek across the Vercors via the high plateaus, the wildest and most unspoilt part of the Vercors.
From the north to the south of the Vercors, an 88km hike through spectacular landscapes. You’ll be camping in tents or in the various shelters lining theGR®.
Trou Saint-Michel and Moucherotte
A splendid circular route around the Moucherotte, allowing you to literally traverse the rock to reach a balcony on the cliff face above Grenoble, where you can enjoy a unique view of the city and the mountain ranges from Belledonne to Dévoluy, passing through Les Rousses, Oisans and Taillefer. The wild Vallon des Forges is on the itinerary.
This hike may require a 30m rope (or a 15m abseil rope) in the Trou Saint-Michel if you are not comfortable descending a grade 3 section.

Pic Saint-Michel via the Vertige des Cimes
A very classic route that takes you to four remarkable viewpoints in succession, offering views of Grenoble and its valley, as well as the Vercors plateau, the Rocher de l’Ours and the Roc Cornafion. It’s a hike you should do at least once if you’re in the area.
Ideally, you should take two cars up and leave one at the finish, which is at the Parking des Barnets, two hairpin bends below the start point at the Lans-en-Vercors resort.
Saint-Nizier-du-Moucherotte - Cabane de Roybon
First stage of the circular route from Saint Nizier to Corrençon en Vercors, with a stop at the Cabane de Roybon below the Col Vert.Whilst the first part is easy, the section between Col de l’Arc and Col Vertis challenging, with sections over a sheer drop!Take great care.
Fountain - Saint-Nizier-du-Moucherotte
This first stage takes you on an assault on the Vercors, gradually leaving the urban environment behind you.
Roybon Hut – La Peyrouse Hut
Day2 of a traverse of the Vercors via the balcony path.
Fauge Shelter - Jasse du Play Shelter
This is the longest stage of this traverse, but also the one that marks the entrance to the high plateaus.
Lac de la Moucherolle
This walk leads to Lac de la Moucherolle and the Fauge valley.
This hike allows you to discover a multitude of landscapes ranging from a mineral world to pastures and forests with beautiful panoramic views of the entire northern Vercors.
The Pas de l'Oeille and its ibexes
A hike in the heart of the Vercors to discover ibex (numerous and not shy in these mountains). And as a bonus on arrival, beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
