Montferrand-la-Fare walks
La Vanige and the Clavelière ridges
A superb hike with magnificent panoramic views: the peaks of the Baronnies, Ventoux, Dévoluy, Écrins, Queyras and Southern Alps on a clear day.
La Vanige, at an altitude of 1,391 metres, overlooks a number of nearby peaks. La Clavelière, the "border of Provence", shows its two opposite slopes.
Rosans - Saint-Auban-sur-l'Ouvèze
Connecting these two beautiful little villages is a very varied stage, which takes the time to explore the Provençal countryside between meadows, orchards and hamlets. The summit of La Vanige, which is optional, is clearly worth the detour for its adventurous climb and aesthetic rocky ridge.
Circular route via Serre du Suquet and Serre de l'Aigle.
This heart-shaped route in the Baronnies Provençales Natural Park offers beautiful scenery, exceptional sunshine and, apart from 2.5km of forest road, the pleasure of hiking on trails.
The Raton mountain
A beautiful hike along the ridge between the Hautes-Alpes and the Drôme.
Le Fourchat, summit of Montagne de l'Archier
This hike provides access to a beautiful panoramic ridge between Drôme and Hautes-Alpes. The fairly high altitude offers magnificent views and an exceptional 360° panorama of the Rosanais region, from Ventoux in the south to Dévoluy and Vercors in the north.
From Saint-Auban-sur-l'Ouvèze to Izon-la-Bruisse via the summit of Chamouse
This is the first stage of a three-day circuit on the ridges of the Méouge and Ouvèze rivers. Between heaven and earth, this is an exceptional route, mostly along ridges. Throughout the day, there are fantastic views of the Ouvèze valley, the Provençal peaks such as Lure and Ventoux, and then the Southern Alps. This is a wild route, far from everything, ending in the equally wild micro-village of Izon-la-Bruisse.
On the crests of the Méouge and Ouvèze rivers, in the Baronnies Provençales
This itinerary between the valleys of the Méouge and Ouvèze allows you to take the pulse of the Parc Naturel Régional des Baronnies Provençales. Little travelled and regularly on balconies and ridges, the route alternates between lavender fields and rocky slopes, Scots pine forests and sublime beech woods, pastoral paths and ridges with exceptional panoramic views. In addition to its particularly wild character, the few small villages it passes through are particularly picturesque, and the route allows you to explore the sublime Montagne de Chamouse from every angle.
Saint-Auban-sur-l'Ouvèze - Izon
Perhaps the most beautiful stage of the Tour des Baronnies. Between heaven and earth, it is an exceptional route, mostly along ridges. Throughout the day, there are fantastic views over the Ouvèze valley, the Provençal peaks such as Lure and Ventoux, and then the Southern Alps. The route is particularly wild, far from everything, ending in the equally wild micro-village of Izon-la-Bruisse.
The Crêtes de Maraysse
A magnificent ridge walk between the Oule valley (on the Montmorin side) and the Blème valley (on the Ribeyret side).
Aiguilles de Rémuzat - Montagne des Gravières
Both Mediterranean and Alpine, this contrasting hike reflects the diverse nature of the region. It includes some tricky sections, but the summit and ridges offer magnificent views. The feeling you get and the beauty of the landscapes are well worth the effort.
Tête de Mouret - Pas de l'Eygues
From the charming village of Rémuzat in Drôme Provençale, set off on a challenging route under the watchful gaze of vultures. The Tête du Mouret (1010m) is a beautiful viewpoint from which to observe them and enjoy the landscapes of the Eygues and Oule valleys.
The Rock of Cairo
The great cliff of Rocher du Caire rises above Rémuzat. Look up and you'll see griffon vultures flying over the valley.
Please note that a hiker has informed us that a municipal by-law (posted at the top) prohibits hiking in the opposite direction.
The Rocher du Caire
The route along the ridge overlooking Rémuzat and the cliffs at the summit of Le Caire are home to majestic griffon vultures.
Walk in the Baronnies
A beautiful walk through vineyards, lavender fields and olive groves, as well as forests. Glimpses of stone lacework and a pretty chapel. A Mediterranean landscape with hilltop villages stretching as far as the eye can see.
Montagne de l'Arsuc and Col de Perty from Ruissas
A hike in Drôme Provençale on the border of the Alpes de Haute-Provence. The aim of the route is to reach the crest of Montagne de l'Arsuc to enjoy a 360° view from Mont Ventoux to the Barre des Écrins and Queyras: a magnificent spectacle on a clear day!
