The start is at the car park of the Moay restaurant, which can be reached by car from La Cot via a dirt road suitable for vehicles.
NOTE: it is also possible to ascend from the valley via the Bruson cable cars (4 Vallées).
(S/E) From the car park, head north for about 50 metres and, after the first chalet, take the marked path that climbs to the left. Then, 70 metres further on, at the intersection, take the path on the right towards the Larzay mountain pasture.
(1) Cross between the buildings on the mountain pasture, then, just after, at the intersection, take the path that climbs to the left towards Les Otanes.
(2) Once you reach the Otanes ridge, continue on the path heading south.
(3) At the foot of the hill where the chairlifts arrive, take the path that climbs up to them.
(4) When you reach the chairlifts, continue straight ahead towards the Col de Chargerat, ignoring the path that descends to the right.
(5) At elevation 2285, ignore the trail that descends to the left towards the Croix de Six Blanc and continue along the ridge south towards the Col de Chargerat.
(6) At the pass, continue along the trail, climbing gently towards Mont Brûlé.
(7) At an elevation of 2366 metres, at a place called Le Basset, ignore the path that descends to the right and continue climbing towards Mont Brûlé.
(8) After admiring the 360° view from the summit of Mont Brûlé, continue along the trail towards the Col de Mille.
(9) At the pass, take the path that winds down to the left towards the Écuries de Mille.
(10) At the last hairpin bend, just before the Écuries de Mille, ignore the path leading to Oujets de Mille and continue left on the track, passing by the stables. In summer, you may see a beautiful herd of Hérens cows. Continue along the track until the next hairpin bend.
(11) Take the path opposite (Chemin des Ânes), heading north, which follows the contour line before climbing, just before the place called Les Golassons, to arrive at the Croix de Six Blanc.
(12) About 50 metres after the cross, the marked trail branches off slightly to the right and continues parallel to the track. Follow it until you return to the track.
(13) Leave the marked path and take the track, descending to the right.
(14) After the first hairpin bend to the right, pass by an artificial basin (used to feed the snow cannons). The track continues downhill, zigzagging through the forest in a south-easterly direction.
(15) After another hairpin bend, the path turns north-west, then further north. About 600 m after the buildings of the Mille mountain pasture (La Pasay), you will reach a junction.
(16) Continue climbing opposite to return to the car park (S/E).
