The starting point is at the “Rafour” tram stop on line E.
(S/E) Take Rue des Écoles, head towards the Rocher school complex, and continue to Rue du Cornillon.
(1) Turn left and continue along the same street until you reach the Espace Claretière (swimming pool). Take the path on the right, go round the buildings and start climbing until you reach a good track leading to the Rocher du Cornillon.
(2) Turn left towards La Girodière. From there, the path climbs through the forest to the village of Mont-Saint-Martin, reaching a crossroads of paths near the cemetery.
(3) Walk past the church then turn right to reach the hamlet of Colavière.
(4) Continue along a small road; at the barrier, turn right, cross Namière and continue straight ahead on this wide track. Stay on this track at the hairpin bend at the hamlet of Les Tarets to then reach the hamlet of Les Combes.
(5) Turn right towards Espagne and you will reach the highest point of the walk at 1,054m, at the crossroads of the paths. Ignore the path that branches off to the right and continues to climb; instead, start the descent on the left.
After about 500 metres, you’ll reach another path; turn right and continue towards Espagne. A little further on, you’ll come to another fork.
(6) Take a good path on the left and descend steeply towards Spain. Here you will come to a small concrete-paved road. Continue the fairly steep descent to reach the village at a place called Colavière.
(4) Turn right and follow the route you took on the way there to the Mont-Saint-Martin cemetery.
(3) Follow the hiking signs and take the path that descends at the signs. Walk alongside a stream, cross the RD105d several times and continue the descent, which is steep in places, through the forest. You will reach another fork at a place called Les Oullières.
(7) Turn left and continue the descent towards Le Logis Neuf, reaching it at the bottom of the descent.
(8) Turn right at a 90° angle onto Chemin du Logis Neuf; at the end of the path, rejoin the D1075 and turn left onto it. Follow it to the junction with Grande Rue.
(9) Turn left onto this street. Turn left again onto Rue du Moulin, then right onto Rue Bach. Join Rue Durafour and follow it to the right until you reach the starting point (S/E).
