Following the River Isère from Noyarey to Sassenage

In Noyarey, park in the car park at the Charles de Gaulle sports hall.

(S/E) Turn right onto Route de la Vanne, then, after the bridge over the canal, take the left-hand path. Follow the canal along its left bank, then switch to the right bank after the second bridge. This wide,^PR® -marked path is the ‘Chemin de l’Eau’. Follow it as far as the Pra Paris farm.

(1) Turn left onto the road and continue to the bridge on the D105f to join the tarmac cycle path.

(2) Pass under the bridge on the right and, at the exit, turn right onto the dirt track. Stay on this track on the left bank of the canal. Walk past the Air Liquide buildings until you reach a wide footbridge over the canal.

(3) Turn left onto it and then immediately turn left again to follow the same canal, but on its right bank. Then leave it (after about 500m) by turning right. Head towards the road bridge.

(2) Take the cycle path opposite, then follow a path leading down to the left, marked by a large fluorescent green mark on a tree.

(4) Follow this path downwards until you reach the wide gas pipeline trench, marked by yellow posts. Follow this trench, where a well-marked path runs through the middle. You’ll reach Route de la Vanne, a tarmac road.

(5) Turn left onto it and follow it straight on to reach the car park (S/E).

There is no water on this route.
