Mont-de-l'Enclus walks

Start at Café des Acacias, which has ample parking. The first part of the walk is on the GR® 122 before entering the forest. It is a lovely walk with benches and picnic areas. The path is very easy going with pine needles. Refreshments are available (with terrace) at Café des Acacias. A very pleasant walk in dry weather

The iconic hill of Tournaisis and its slopes offer panoramic views and trails or paths that you can walk, run or climb. Your steps will take you through countryside dotted with hamlets and farms towards the Scheldt and its Léaucourt cut (a former meander of the river). You will discover a discreet and modest countryside that is not lacking in charm.

Here is the route for a beautiful walk around Ellezelles (Picardy Wallonia). This circuit will take you to the heights of this locality, renowned for being a hotbed of witches. Capital of the Pays des Collines, it is particularly attractive to walkers for the quality of its paths and trails and its landscapes.The hike is located west of Ellezelles and passes through farmland. Please note that the witches and works of art are not on this circuit, but on the Sentier de l'étrange (Path of Strangeness), which follows another route marked with this name, east of Ellezelles

This circular route takes you through the Scheldt plain between the two villages of Esquelmes and Ramegnies-Chin. It is a rural route along paths and small country roads. Take care when crossing the Tournai road. You will discover the pretty church of Esquelmes near the Scheldt, lined with trees, and the many calvaries and chapels. You will walk along paths lined with hedges and take small passages. At the edge of the Scheldt, you will see Mont Saint-Aubert on the other bank.

This hike takes you on a journey of discovery through a secret corner of the Pays des Collines, where water, stone and legends come together in an enchanting setting.Follow the Tordoir stream, between meadows and ancient paths, towards Le Quesnoit, Marloyau and the Ferme de Cambroncheau, witnesses to a rural past that is still alive today.At the Philosopher's Cross, nature invites you to be silent: it is said that a wise man meditated here, or that a pilgrim found peace here.The Ronsart stream will then lead you to the mysterious Lanterne, where a strange flame is said to shine from time to time.Hubermont and Montagne Taverne reveal the geology of the area: sand, silt and iron-rich stones are home to rare flora and discreet fauna.The return via the Étrange trail concludes this walk through nature and mystery.

A walk to discover Froyennes (church, Château Beauregard, Saint-Éloi fountain, watermill) and the surrounding area. Please note: muddy paths in wet weather!

This is a lovely nature walk close to the town of Mouscron. It is a countryside route on small tarmac roads with little traffic and on footpaths. You will discover the Château des Comtes, surrounded by moats, and the Martine Museum. You will stroll through the Bois Fichaux on the slopes of the Mouscron hill.

A walk along the towpaths of the new and old canals from Nimy to Péronnes. At the start, you can admire the two giant locks that have replaced the eight locks that you will then pass as you walk down the old canal. Admire the old lock houses on the old canal. However, be careful in strong winds between points (8) and (9) as the trees are fragile and it is best to avoid this section. The entire hike is on tarmac or paved paths.

Loop passing Lac du Héron in Villeneuve-d'Ascq and Forest-sur-Marque. This walk goes along the Marque river for a while and follows part of the GR® 121B.

This route between the Bachy plain and the Belgian border allows you to discover Mont Saint-Aubert in Belgium. You will discover part of the route used by "Monique", a member of the Resistance who helped airmen escape between France and the town of Rumegies in Belgium.

A walk between France and Belgium in the Pévèle and Hainaut plains. This trail crosses the path of Monique, a Resistance fighter who evacuated Allied pilots who had fallen during the war. It also gives an idea of the work of the customs officers who guarded this border and the tricks that smugglers could use to thwart their surveillance.
