The route follows the meanders of the Brulbeek and Bovenschelde rivers, between wet meadows and ancient woodlands. Herons, kingfishers, foxes and deer offer a glimpse of the richness of this preserved environment.
At the bend in the path, the Ghellinck estate reveals noble avenues and vestiges of an elegant past. Then head for the Oude Scheldearm, Het Anker and the Rietgracht, lands of legends where the mist still seems to whisper the tales of ancient sailors.
In Huiwede, tranquillity reigns supreme: the reeds dance in the wind and Beaulieu Abbey stands guard, a silent witness to the passing of time. In the Langemeersen reserve, flora and migratory birds complete this dreamlike watery tableau.
