Departure from the car park at Meaux-la-Montagne church.
(S/E) Take the road towards the start of the routes and Les Frettes, to the north-west, and head towards the hamlet.
(1) Take the path on the left (signposted "Meaux randonnées"). Follow the signs for "Meaux 7.5".
At the crossroads, turn right and continue to the next fork.
(2) Continue left at an acute angle, ignore a turn-off to the right and then one to the left, and arrive at a crossroads. Turn right, leave the forest and join a small road. Follow it to the left and arrive at the departmental road (D94E).
(3) Follow it briefly to the left, then take the path that climbs to the right. Continue along the edge of the woods, and at the three-way junction, continue straight ahead. The path then veers to the right and runs alongside the Magny quarry. Climb until you reach a four-way intersection at the edge of a field on your left.
(4) Turn right, leave the forest and arrive at an enclosed pond.
(5) Walk past it and reach the hamlet of Lurcy at the end of Chemin de l'Étang de Lurcy (where you will find the other Meaux hiking routes).
On the opposite side, note the Bussières farm at the top; Meaux is hidden at the top right.
(6) First turn right then left and follow the Route de Lurcy to the four-way intersection.
(7) Cross the departmental road (D94E) again, continue downhill opposite and reach the bottom of the valley. At the three-way junction, just after the stream, turn right. The path passes through meadows where there may be cattle. Use the walkways for pedestrians, do not open the gates or let dogs roam free. Reach a fork below the houses.
(8) Continue to the right, cross the bottom of the valley and climb back up to the road at the hamlet of Bussières (small cross).
(9) Note the top of the Meaux bell tower. Continue to the right (D605), cross the hamlet and reach a three-way junction.
(10) Take the small road on the right and cross the bottom of the valley. At the next crossroads, turn left and head towards the church in Meaux-la-Montagne (S/E).
