Grand tour of Saint-Pé-de-Bigorre via the hillsides

On the hillsides of Saint-Pé-de-Bigorre, this 10 km route with an elevation gain of 180 m takes you through everything that makes the immediate surroundings of this village so beautiful: its small paths, meadows, woods, rivers and houses, in short, its rural heritage.Whether you're a regular walker or runner, a local or a visitor, you're sure to enjoy yourself here!
Boucle du Béout

Tour of the Cité Saint-Pierre via the Béout ridge, passing by the summit cross and the old cable car station with views of Lourdes, the Gave de Pau and the start of the Vallée des Gaves.This hike in a wild area, with little or no signposting and trails that are difficult to see in summer and overgrown with ferns (especially on the descent), makes it accessible only to "adventurers" over the age of 10 who are not afraid of discovering this little summit!
Balade patrimoniale à Agos-Vidalos
Set off to discover this pretty little village between Argelès-Gazost and Lourdes. Don't forget to look up at the sky, where you're sure to spot bearded vultures, black kites and vultures. The flora is also very rich. A perfect walk for families with children.
Mont de Gez

To the west of Argelès-Gazost, there is a very pretty, not too difficult circuit on well-maintained trails offering two viewpoints over the Gave de Pau valley and a 360° view of the Central Pyrenees!
Grum, Andreyt and Laudège ridges

This is a short hike with little elevation gain and no difficulty in clear weather. The view from the ridges of all the surrounding peaks and villages is magnificent all along the way. From the Gros huts, the return trip along the trail is very easy.
The Séris waterfall from Laruns

A relatively short walk accessible to all, allowing you to discover the Séris waterfall and the typical narrow streets of Laruns.
Three fountains circuit in Sainte-Colombe

This short hike allows you to discover the three fountains of Sainte-Colombe from the Trinquet car park: the Huguenots fountain, then the Téoulé fountain and finally the Hounrède fountain.
Please note: the trail is closed from 1 October to 30 November (hunting season).
Montagnon Lake

Ascent to Lac de Montagnon via the Cure det Cam hut.

Lac de Soum from the Col du Soulor

This is an easy walk along the border between the Pyrénées Atlantiques and Hautes Pyrénées departments, suitable for walkers. You will encounter sheep, horses and cows, admire birds of prey soaring overhead and enjoy views of peaks such as the Pic du Midi de Bigorre and the Gabizos, as well as beautiful landscapes (the Ouzom and Arrens Marsous valleys).
Lakes Uzious and Anglas from Gourette

A lovely loop from Gourette that takes you past numerous lakes. Best undertaken in good weather. Part of the route is unmarked. Lake Anglas from Gourette

The Lac d'Anglas hike is one of the must-do routes starting from Gourette.
It offers a varied mountain landscape where waterfalls, cliffs and lakes enhance the magnificent scenery of the high-altitude summer pastures you will be crossing.
Le Monné via the dramatic paths and Tucou
Enjoy the beautiful scenery from the summit of Monné while passing through the Vallon de Salut, the Allées Dramatiques and the Col du Tucou, and descending not far from the Croix de Manse.A moderate hike with no significant difficulties.
Culento ridges

A very pretty route with a long ridge walk.
This hike allows you to discover some very large summer pastures, some of which are still in use.
In the background: the Pic de Midi de Bigorre, the Montaigu and the Mongie valley.
Do not attempt this ridge hike in foggy or heavy rain.
Isaby Lake
This is an easy, short hike, ideal for young children. The lake, nestled in lush greenery and surrounded by mountains, is truly magnificent. Calm and peaceful, it makes you want to stay there for a long time.
Lac dets Plagnous
Lac dets Plagnous is a tiny lake above Lac d'Isaby. A little more difficult to access than the latter, it is neglected by hikers. However, it is very pleasant and makes you want to stay on its banks for a while.
Above Lees-Athas
A short, well-shaded loop to explore the village of Lees and its surroundings. No difficulty except for carefully following the route at the numerous junctions and crossroads. Don't forget to look up, as the view over the Bedous valley is vast and picturesque!
The starting point is easily accessible: the bus stop (on the N134) is very close by.
Around Serris in Baudéan

A short walk to warm up, but not recommended in wet weather. Nice view from the top.
The Crêtes d'Auriste in the Barétous Valley

After a nice steady climb on a wide track, you come out onto a vast pasture area.
There are beautiful views throughout the climb, followed by a vast panorama from the top.
A geological curiosity: large blocks of pink puddingstone at the summit.

A fabulous viewpoint well ahead of the chain, with a classic climb but an off-trail descent facing south towards the Pic du Midi de Bigorre!The GPX track can be very useful after the peak. The section after (4) is reserved for experienced hikers.
The Courtaou du Teilhet from Campan

This is an easy hike, best undertaken when there is no snow. Pay close attention to the weather.
The Cabins of La Lit

In the footsteps of Georges Buisan, born in 1924 in Montréjeau (Haute-Garonne) and resident in Tarbes, he spent his childhood in Bigorre.
His interest in the mountains led him to spend several years researching shepherds' huts.
Georges Buisan has since passed away, but he leaves behind him, with this Courtaou de la Lit, which he restored over a period of thirty years, an original legacy and a powerful message.
Laquet du Riou Grande above Bénaquès

A pretty little lake, little known, nestled at the foot of Montaigu.The GPX track is necessary after the Cabane de Bénaquès, or else good map reading skills and a sense of direction.
Lake Ourrec

A small mountain lake with a beautiful blue-green colour. Less frequented than the Lac Bleu, it is a real pleasure to soak up the calm and splendour of the site. The route offers views of the magnificent Pitch d'Ouscouaou waterfall.
Lac d'Ourrec, Lac Bleu and Lac Vert

A very pretty hike with three lakes to see, including the magnificent Lac Bleu. The Pic de Bizoutére offers views of the Lesponne valley on the right and Hautacam on the left, not to mention the famous Pic du Midi. On the way back, you will come across some splendid waterfalls.
