Idyllic countryside around Elbeuf-sur-Andelle

Park in the car park at Elbeuf-sur-Andelle Town Hall, Rue de L'Église.

(S/E) Opposite the church, follow the narrow lane to the right. Cross the River Le Héron, pass the fish farm, walk between the ponds, then join the path running alongside the Andelle on your left. Cross it twice.

(1) Turn right at the second bridge, onto a grassy path. Walk until you pass under a bridge, then immediately follow the path uphill to the left, signposted "Rampe des 1005". At the end of this, turn right until you reach the junction.

(2) Turn left, then walk behind the parapet. Continue to the next junction and turn left towards the D293, until the^third street on the right.

(3) Take this road at the sign for Chemin de Beaumont. This road continues as a track; follow it until you reach the woods, on a gentle slope. At the edge of a field, walk along the edge of the woods. You will come to two parallel paths between two trees; take the one on the right. You will reach a road; cross it.

(4) Follow the path to the left through the woods until you reach the^first forest track at the bottom of the descent.

(5) Take it to the right and walk until you reach a small road. Follow it to the left and pass some farm buildings on your right.

(6) Turn left onto Rue Du Château d'Eau, and turn left at the end of the road, towards Morville.

(7) Pass La Haye town hall on your left, then turn immediately left onto Route de Morville and follow the bends. Pass the sign marking the exit from La Haye, then leave this road immediately.

(8) Head down the path on the left into the woods, ignore the side paths and reach a crossroads. Continue along the path on the right, then reach a road.

(9) Turn right onto it and head towards a junction.

(10) Turn left, then cross the Andelle. Pass the Moulin de l'Andelle on your right, then, at the crossroads, cross the road and head right for 100 m.

(11) Turn left onto the path between the fields and follow it until you meet a path coming from the left. Continue to the right and carry on along a small road. Keep going straight ahead, between the houses, then pass the wooden bus shelter on your right.

(12) Turn left and ignore the^first street coming from the left. Continue towards the houses, reach the next junction and note the remarkable “Fondation Patrimoine” building on your right. Take the street on the left at the dead-end sign. Leave it when it turns at a right angle.

(13) Take the dirt track opposite, following the electricity pylons on your left. Head into the woods, continue straight on along the forest track, then go down the path between the fields. Pass a dovecote on your right and you’ll come to a road.

(14) Follow it to the right, then turn off onto the^first road on the left, at the sign for "Chemin de La Croix". Cross the Andelle via the Pont Léon. Continue along the road until^{the second} path on the right.

(9) Follow the sign for “Chemin des Randonneurs” and continue straight on along this path, occasionally catching a glimpse of the Andelle on your right; ignore the side paths. Reach a crossroads, which you took on the way out.

(5) Turn right onto the path climbing alongside a field on your left. Join a road.

(4) Turn right onto it and follow it until you reach the junction signposted for Elbeuf-sur-Andelle via the D413. Follow it to the right for a few metres and do not cross the Andelle.

(15) Turn left onto the wide grassy path. Follow it to the^first small bridge over the Andelle.

(1) Turn right onto it, heading towards the fish farm and the town hall (S/E).
