Car park at Rue de la gare d'Harnes in Courrières, south of the canal (before the bridge) turn left towards "Bois de Florimond". Follow the road to the car park.
(S/E) Leave the canal behind and drive around the lagoons to the east. Head south, leaving the lagoons on your right.
(1) In front of you is the wooded slag heap, follow it for a few metres. You'll come to a cycling barrier/gate. Go through it to enter the slag heap site. The path climbs gently into the wood.
(2) At the crossroads, turn right in front of the barrier, then right again at the next intersection.
Continue up the path for a few dozen metres to reach the viewpoint.
This time, at the intersection, take the path on your right, heading south-east then south, until you reach a crossroads.

(3) At the crossroads, take the path slightly to your right, the furthest downhill. The path twists and turns to reach a barrier/gate at Le Tiercé.
(4) Cross the barrier and, at the intersection with wide paths, turn right. You will then pass the slag heap on your right.
(5) At the crossroads, turn slightly left, following the signs for "Bac à schlamm".
Continue for approx. 400m, crossing a road. Continue straight on, and after a wide bend, come to the information sign.

(6) Cross the road, turn left towards the fishing pond and follow the road. A few dozen metres after the pond is the entrance to slag heap 94.
(7) Enter the slag heap via the old quarry entrance.
Climb clockwise along the slag heap's contours.
At the top, walk clockwise around the plateau, then back down when you reach the uphill path. Return to the slag heap entrance.
(7) For the return journey, head back along the Lens canal, going beside the fishing pond, which you leave on your right.
At the edge of the canal, turn right and follow the canal (on your left) for over 2km to return to the parking lot (E).
