Yellow, red and white markings.
Car park behind Cap Blanc Nez.
(S/E) From the refurbished car park, walk away from the sea to cross the D940.
(1) Cross with care and take the signposted path opposite, which climbs towards Mont d'Hubert with its pretty tower from an old mill. The path soon branches off to the left, leading further on to a series of junctions.
(2) You will then come across the Tour du Boulonnais markings (red and yellow) and follow them to the right. After 1 km, you will reach the hamlet of Haute Escalles.
(3) Cross the D243 and follow it to the right until the second junction, where you turn left onto the GRP®.
(4) At the junction at Tape Cul, turn right to head down the hill towards Escalles. Admire the landscape and its fields that seem to plunge into the North Sea.
(5) After the pretty village square and its restaurants, cross the D940 with care and head left, then keep right at the T-junction onto the road that runs alongside the campsite and leads to Cran d'Escalles.
(6) At the car park (you can walk straight ahead to the beach and back), turn right and follow the path up to Cap Blanc Nez.
(7) At the path, turn left towards the Dover Patrol Monument and head towards it.
(8) Follow the circular loop for several views of Cap Gris Nez, the English coast and Calais.
(7) Return to the car park (S/E).
