Car park at Oinville-sur-Montcient Town Hall, Rue de Gournay (please note: the car park is reserved for the market on Friday mornings).
(S/E) Set off along the Chemin des Moines in front of No. 24 Rue de Gournay. At the end of the path, turn right onto a road and immediately left at a sharp angle onto a path. At thefirst fork in the road, keep to the left. At the end of the path, turn right. Follow the main path as it curves to the left, leaving a grassy track that continues straight ahead.
(1) When you reach another path, turn right and continue to a small road. Take this on the left, then turn immediately right onto the path. At the next junction, take the grassy track on the right which leads down towards the village. At the first houses, the path becomes a street. Follow it straight on, ignoring two streets coming from the right. Walk past Saint Séverin Church, ignore a street leading down from the left, and you’ll reach a crossroads.
(2) Please note: currently (3 August 2026) the footbridge located after point (2) is closed for safety reasons.
=> You must therefore follow Rue de Bachambre to the left and resume the route as described after 500 m.
Turn right onto Rue de Gournay; after 100 m, take thefirst path on the left and head down to a metal footbridge over the Montcient. Turn left and walk along the river for 500 m; at thefirst junction, continue straight ahead and then take thefirst path on the left (opposite nos. 1bis and1ter) which passes between two houses. You will immediately reach Rue de Bachambre.
(3) Cross the street and, opposite, take a small path that climbs between two houses. Then take a narrow path on the right that runs alongside a fenced-off meadow. At the end of the path, join a grassy track and follow it to the right. At the next crossroads, continue straight on and follow this track to the end, for 1 km.
(4) Turn right and, at the next crossroads, turn right again. Ignore a signposted path branching off to the left and begin a long descent to the Moulin de la Chatarde. When you reach the mill wall, take a track to the right (do not cross the river) which follows the Montcient. Continue straight on to the Moulin Brulé.
(5) Continue along the Allée du Moulin Brulé until you reach the road. Follow the road to the right, pass a restaurant and take a path on the right at No. 649. After 50 m, follow a narrow track to the left which begins with a small footbridge. At the end, follow Rue de Bachambre to the left and then turn right onto Route du Vexin.
(6) After 50 m, at a bus stop (just before No. 52), head up a narrow path to the left. At the top, turn right onto a path which narrows as it enters the woods. At the first junction, carry on straight ahead. After 500 m, the path bends to the right and descends to a housing estate; head back up to the left. The path runs behind some gardens, then enters a wood. At the top of a hill, keep to the right to reach a street. Carry on straight ahead.
(7) Take thefirst path leading uphill to the left. Cross a small road and continue straight ahead; then, at the end of the path, turn right onto a wide track. At a Fork in the road, take thefirst path on the right (opposite an aerial) which leads downhill.
(8) Just before reaching a road, take a footpath on the right. The path becomes tarmacked (behind the Moulin de Néranval) and, at the next Fork in the road, keep to the right. Follow this straight road which runs alongside the Montcient, passes behind the Moulin Gaillard and leads back to the car park (S/E).
