Capagathoise outing, from port to beaches

Departure from the Cap d'Agde tourist office.

(S/E) With your back to the tourist office, turn right to pass between the Iconic and Le Sylène residences. Head towards the port and the Ferris wheel.

(1) Keep to the right, then go straight ahead and turn right again. At the end, continue straight ahead, then turn left at the car park to take the Quai des Joutes (follow the barrier).

(2) Continue straight ahead along the quays. When you reach Île des Loisirs, go under the first bridge and turn left to go back up Île des Loisirs and cross the bridge (under the "Île des Loisirs" arch).

(3) Keep left to head towards Plage Richelieu (pedestrian signs will help you). Continue straight ahead, cross a bridge, then keep going straight until you can't go any further. Then turn right and cross the second bridge to reach Plage Richelieu.

(4) Walk along the beach on your right, leaving it on your left for now, until you reach Mail de Rochelongue.

(5) At the mall, walk around the two paths and retrace your steps back to the beach.

(5) Turn left and head towards the pond. Turn left again and walk over the small pond, where facilities have been installed for picnics, children's play areas and sports.

(6) Then keep to the right along the pond to return to the beaches. Follow the coastline to the left until you reach the playground after the Caravelle car park. Turn left. Go around the Aqualand water park and continue straight ahead on Allée de la Découverte to return to Quai des Joutes, which you have already passed.

(4) To complete your loop, return to the tourist office by retracing your steps (S/E).

No special equipment is required.
Bring a bottle of water and a hat if the walk is during hot weather.
