Description of the walk

The route starts at the foot of Mont Saint-Loup. There are several parking options along the road.

(S/E) Walk up the track opposite, then continue along the tarmac road. Follow the bends, passing the shooting range.

(1) Carry on climbing along the road until you reach the summit of Mont Saint-Loup.

(2) Head back down via the small path on the left and follow it down to the track. Turn right, then cut across one hairpin bend and take two more hairpin bends to reach a concrete block.

(3) Turn right and keep going until you reach the D612.

(4) Head back up the path on the right to reach a lane between the trees, near a 90° bend to the right.

(5) Walk along the path through the trees to return to the car park (S/E).

A lovely short walk, suitable for children. The view from the top is magnificent: on one side the sea, Cap d'Agde and Fort de Brescou, and on the other the Étang de Thau and Mont Saint-Clair.
After point 2, I recommend heading back down and continuing along the track (between points 2 and 3) that goes round Mont Saint-Loup, taking the route via the Tour des Anglais. This avoids the unpleasant stretch along the road after point 4.
