Description of the walk

The walk starts at the Cap d'Agde tourist office.

(S/E) With your back to the tourist office, turn left, then right between the Iconic and Le Sylène residences. Then cross Avenue des Sergents to reach Grande Rouge.

(1) Walk along the harbour quays on the left. Continue to the end of the quays and find the stairs on the left.

(2) Take the stairs to cross the street and a green space, keeping to the right. Go over the Cours des Gentilhommes, then cross Rue de la Falaise before doing the same on Place des Gabelous. You will arrive at the edge of the path to the cliffs, with a view of the Mediterranean Sea and the cliffs.

(3) Continuing left along the coast, head towards Plage du Môle. You will arrive at the crescent-shaped rocky coastline at the edge of Plage du Môle

(4) Turn back this time towards Grande Conque Beach and the cliffs. Return to the crossroads you passed on the way there.

(3) Continue along the coast. You will reach the top of the cliffs, where you can enjoy an exceptional view.

(5) Descend opposite towards Plagette Beach, where you can explore the coastal paths.

(6) Continue left towards the pier for a panoramic view of Fort Brescou. Go to the end of the pier.

(7) Turn back and head towards Île des Pêcheurs on your left. Cross Rue de la Capitainerie, then turn right. Continue straight ahead.

(8) After the bridge and before the dead end, turn right onto Allée des Dykes, then turn left. When you reach Allée des Tamaris, turn left onto this street to find the staircase you took on the way there.
