You will start at the lowest point in Saint-Lattier and climb to the highest point, where you will enjoy a 360° view of the Vercors, Drôme and Ardèche mountains. The cobbled climb, an ancient medieval road, leads to Bel Aire. Along the way, you can admire the paving, the structures from the period and the ruts carved out by the carts and wagons that used to travel to the castle mound known as "Le Pain Sucre", which dominates the Saint-Lattier valley.

Morel route starting from La Lèchère
A route starting from the Thermes de la Léchère-les-Bains on a pretty path along the Isère river and up the banks of the Torrent du Morel with its waterfalls, once the scourge of the Aigueblanches valleys, now tamed by humans who have turned it into a peaceful mountain stream. After crossing the village of Saint-Oyen and returning with a view of the valley, you will reach the Thermes de la Léchère spa.

The heights of Meymans and the Ravin des Combes
An unusual hike starting from the village of Meymans, along the ridge at the start with a return via the Ravin des Combes.Important: the passage through the ravine is quite technical and unmarked. Follow the path that seems obvious on either side of the small stream, which can be a little difficult to cross after heavy rain.
The banks of the Isère and its walnut trees at Saint-Hilaire-du-Rosier
A walk for winter days. It takes you mainly along small tarmac roads, through walnut orchards and along the River Isère. There is very little elevation gain on this route.
A circular loop along the towpath in Grenoble
From the city centre (where you can take your time exploring as you please), head out to the banks of the Isère for a short, entirely flat circular walk along the towpath – either on the embankment if the riverbanks are wet, or on the dirt track closer to the river if it is dry enough. Wide views of Belledonne, which may be snow-capped, depending on the season.
Mont Rachais via La Bastille and Mont Jalla, returning via La Tronche
A “Town-to-Mountain” hike that takes you from the banks of the Isère to the summit of Mont Rachais. At 1,046 metres, its ridge overlooks the eastern part of the Grenoble conurbation, the Haut-Grésivaudan and the Belledonne range.
En route, you can visit the fortifications of the Bastille and the memorial to the Alpine troops on Mont Jalla.
No particular difficulty (apart from the cumulative elevation gain of around 900m) and as this slope is well exposed, the route can be tackled in winter as the snow melts very quickly there.
The Refuge de la Martin and Les Brévières from Tignes-Les Boisses
Leaving the shore of Lac du Chevril, we crossed the Vallon de la Sache and climbed up a beautiful balcony path to the Refuge de la Martin, nestled amongst its mountain pastures. The descent took us beneath the cliffs down to the village of Les Brévières, nestled beneath the imposing Tignes dam. Ascent to the Bastille de Grenoble from the west
The city has developed the western ascent of the Bastille, which is little known except to a few runners. This ascent is accessible via the Route de Clémencières. The proposed descent takes you back to the Jardin des Dauphins, but you can take another usual route (Fontaine du Lion or Porte Saint-Laurent, or even the Grenoble cable car, nicknamed "les Bulles").The slope is quite steep but safe. You will pass by some unusual views of the valley and the Grottes de Mandrin, a defensive structure of the Bastille's glacis. This hike should not be attempted in rainy weather or up to 24 hours afterwards, as the ground is slippery. The return trip is not recommended.

A pleasant circular route that will allow you to visit the beautiful medieval village of Beauvoir-en-Royans (14th-century Château Delphinal, ruins, Carmelite convent, beautiful houses and medieval square); the time spent visiting the village is not included in the hike. You will pass through numerous walnut groves, a crop emblematic of the region. The walk is largely shaded and is very suitable for families.
New Bastille trail via Saint-Martin-le-Vinoux
A path leading to the Bastille de Grenoble was built in 2025. From the houses of Saint-Martin-Le-Vinoux, you can quickly reach the woods, where the route winds between oak trees and small scree slopes. The work has made the path easier and more user-friendly, but the climb remains challenging. At the Fort, admire the panoramic view of the Belledonne, Vercors and Chartreuse mountain ranges. Descend towards Porte de France and Parc Guy Pape.
