From the RD5, take the Grand Rue downhill (towards the east) then continue along Rue du Bollenberg. Park in the car park at the foot of the Bollenberg Chapel.
(S/E) With your back to the car park, continue along Rue du Bollenberg and take the path on the left that climbs up to the Bollenberg Chapel (also known as the Witches' Chapel), marked with green diamond signs.
(1) At the crossroads with a cross, continue to the right to make a round trip to the chapel and enjoy the beautiful 360° view. On the way back, take the first path on the right, slightly downhill towards the plain, marked with a blue circle.
(2) At the crossroads, turn left onto the tarmac road, then onto the cobbled road. At the three-way junction, stay on the left-hand path (still marked with blue circles).
Further on, cross a road (near a metal building) and continue straight ahead (blue circle). Leave the vineyard for a moment.
(3) Cross the path marked with a green diamond and continue straight ahead. At the next three-way junction, keep to the right. Pass in front of an oratory, then at the next crossroads (dead tree), turn right. Further down, you will find the green diamond markings again, which you follow to the left towards Rouffach.
When you reach the departmental road, follow it a few metres to the right, then leave it by turning left onto the small road marked with a green diamond, towards Rouffach.
(4) After the small river Ohmbach, turn left, then a little further on, continue to the right. Cross a road and continue straight ahead (still following the green diamond markings towards Rouffach) until the next junction on the left.
(5) Before reaching Rouffach, take the path on the left, which is not marked. At the information board "Grand cru Vorbourg n° 3", turn right (do not go up to the cross). Follow the red circle markings. The path then branches off to the right. At the sign "Vorbourg n°14", turn left, at n°13, turn right and at n°12, continue straight ahead.
(6) At the crossroads with the cross, take advantage of the orientation table. Continue left up the path, marked with a red cross. After 5 minutes, leave the path and take a trail into the forest, towards the Oelberg Chapel (7) (benches and picnic area). Continue to the crossroads.
(8) Take the tarmac road slightly to the right, marked with a red triangle, towards Notre-Dame du Hubel.
(9) At Notre-Dame du Hubel (just a small oratory on a tree...), turn left towards Westhalten and Zinnkoepfle, Chemin de Compostelle. At the edge of the forest, at the three-way junction, stay on the right-hand path marked with a red diamond.
(10) At the Zinnkoepfle information board, turn left onto a path towards Westhalten (ignore the red diamond markings which continue straight ahead).
The path leads to vineyards, which you follow downhill until you reach a concrete road that veers slightly to the left. At the next crossroads, stay on the road on the right as it descends, then take the paved path on the left. Reach the village of Westhalten and turn left onto the street that curves sharply to the right. Pass the town hall (fountain), then the Place du Tilleul.
(11) Turn right onto Rue de la Fontaine, following the blue disc markings towards Bollenberg. Further on, turn right onto Rue de la Liberté and then left onto Rue d'Orschwihr. Cross the D18bis road, leave Rue du Stade on your right and continue to the last house.
(12) At the crossroads of four roads, turn left uphill, following the blue disc markings towards Bollenberg. The path joins a wood and follows its edge.
(13) Almost at the end of the woods, take the path on the left, which climbs up to Bollenberg. At the crossroads, turn right and join the path, marked with a green diamond, which leads back to the Bollenberg chapel.
(1) Descend to the car park via the same path as on the way up (S/E).
