Parking available near the church.
(S/E) From the church, head towards Le Pingy to descend via a path that runs alongside the manor house of the same name. Just past the manor house, the path continues to the right, but take the track through the woods that descends towards the Rochérel valley.
(1) At the bottom of the path, turn left onto the road that runs along the valley and passes the mill and the Étang de Rochérel on the right. Head to the old Chêne Marqué granite quarry (parking and picnic facilities available).
(2) Just after the quarry and before the main road, take the hard-packed track on the left and head back towards the main road, following it on the right for 350 m.
(3) Turn right onto the small road leading to Le Fournet. Continue left towards Carméhouët.
(4) Pass through the traditional hamlet and turn left at the Fork in the road. Continue along the dirt track. Follow it to a main road, then follow this to the right for about 50 metres.
(5) Leave it heading towards Haute Ville, then follow the road as it winds through the countryside to a junction by a wayside cross.
(6) Continue straight on towards Queslain and, at the main road, turn right. At the junction, take the small road on the left.
(7) Turn right onto the dirt track (beautiful view of the surrounding area with Mont Bel Air in the distance). Head down to the hamlet of Manière.
(8) Cross the hamlet heading left, then continue along the road and head down towards the River Rosette. Cross the bridge and join a road.
(9) Continue to the left, and 200 m further on take the steep, hairpin-bend dirt track to the left. Follow it to the junction of several paths.
(10) Head up the slope on the right to Vau Horet and towards Vau Ruzé.
(11) Continue along the road on the left for 400 m, leaving the hamlet on your right. Take the road on the left towards La Houssaye.
(12) At the crossroads in the village, veer slightly to the left then take the road opposite. At the entrance to the next village, head down to the left towards the valley. Go straight on at the junction.
(13) At the next junction, the route normally continues straight on towards the Yvignac mill and then back up towards the village, but there were two signs saying ‘Private Property’ and ‘No Entry’.
So, continue along the Circuit de Trémeur (signposted here) on the right, then turn left onto the dirt track through the woodland.
(14) At the main road (be careful, there is heavy traffic), follow it for 150 m then head back up towards the village via the small road on the right.
(15) At the first housing estate, follow Rue de la Ville ès Ray then Rue du Bas Bourg to reach the church (S/E).
