Departure from Verneuil-Vernouillet station (Transilien line J).

(S/E) Head left onto Avenue du Chemin de Fer to reach Avenue du Château. Turn left until you reach Avenue de Triel, which you take to the left for 200 m.
(1) Take Rue Arnoult Laroche on the left, then, at the corner by the pond, turn right onto Rue du Gallardon and continue right onto Rue Louis Berson.
At the end of the street, turn left onto Rue du Val de Seine and follow it to the corner by the pond.
(2) Now turn left along the Étang des Cerisaies and follow the pond and the route for 1.2 km. Turn right onto Chemin de l’Île Moyenne (which can be muddy), and follow it to the right for 700 m to reach Quai Aristide Briand. Follow it for 800 metres and, at the bridge over the Seine, turn straight ahead onto Chemin de Médan.
(3) Go under the Pont de Triel and continue for 1.2 km. Go under another bridge and continue along the Chemin de Médan along the banks of the Seine for 1.5 km.
(4) Note Île d’Hernière on your left, followed by Île du Platais. Continue along the Quais de Seine and then Rue de Seine for 230 m.
(5) Turn right into a passage under the railway tracks to follow Rue Pasteur, then turn left, passing the Médan town hall, onto Rue de Verdun and Avenue du Maréchal Foch, continuing downhill for 850 m.
(6) Turn left onto Rue des Canotiers, go under the tracks, then continue right along the Sentier du Bord de l'Eau to Villennes-sur-Seine station.
(7) On your left is Île de Villennes. The small gate on the right is sometimes open... In any case, the view from the bridge is lovely. Continue along Rue du Pont, and on your left you’ll see a small park where you can take a short break.
(8) Head back along Rue du Port towards the centre, turn right onto Rue Maurice Dreux, walk past the church and then Place de la Libération, and turn left into Parc du Docteur Fauvel. Cross the park, turn left onto Rue des Écoles and, a moment later, right onto Rue de l'Ancienne Mairie.
(9) At the end of the street, first turn right then left onto Chemin de la Côte. Continue up the steps, then turn left onto Avenue Irène and join Route de Marolles.
(10) Follow it to the right until you reach the roundabout, then turn left onto Rue de la Clémenterie and follow it for 1.4 km. At the roundabout, continue straight ahead onto Rue de Bures until you reach the junction with Rue de Brézolles. Continue to the right until you reach the end of the road.
(11) Enter the forest, ignore the first turn-off on the right and take the next one. Continue straight on until you reach the Domaine de Marsinval.
(12) Turn left onto Rue du Clos au Faîte, then right onto Rue de la Tuilerie. At the junction, go straight ahead onto Chemin de Marsinval and follow it for 1 km until you reach the start of a path turning 90° to the left.
(13) Turn left onto this path, walk alongside the orchards, and you will reach Route de Bures. Follow it to the right until you reach a multi-way junction and turn left.
(14) Follow the small Chemin des Épinettes, skirting the fields on your left, to reach Route de Chapet. Then turn right, then left onto Rue des Érables and Sentier des Rois. Next, follow Rue de la Côte Narbonne to the left until you reach the entrance to the Jardins d'Aguilar on the right. This is a good spot for a final break.
(15) Turn right and cross the gardens. Cross Rue de l'Étang and go down Ruelle de l'Étang. Cross Boulevard Clémenceau and continue along Rue du Maréchal Koenig, then Rue Clère, until you reach Place du Général de Gaulle; the station is at the end (S/E).
