A fairly hilly walk along paths that were a bit muddy in places following the recent rain, as well as some tarmac, but the route passes through three villages.
On leaving Vaux, the path overlooks the Seine valley, but the vegetation and a distant mist prevented us from enjoying the view.
On this path we met a cyclist who was hoping to be in London two days later.
The church in Triel is open to visitors (16th-century stained-glass windows).
At the moment, the rapeseed is in bloom, creating vast swathes of yellow.

It’s a pretty good hike for getting a feel for the area. Of course, the ground gets quite muddy in the wet season: you just need to bear that in mind.

A truly lovely walk with views over the Seine Valley – absolutely stunning – and, in this sweltering heat, pleasantly
shaded!
The only downside at the moment is that at the start, after leaving Vaux station: at the fork, keep right and stay on the tarmac....
This isn’t possible at the moment as they’re currently resurfacing the road, so I’ve found a temporary alternative!!!
So at the fork, you need to go left and take the Chemin du Petit Hulin, which goes uphill. It’s a narrow path that leads to a
junction. Turn right and follow it to the end, where you’ll rejoin the tarmac road mentioned at the start, which is called
Bd Angibout.
Otherwise, I fully agree with the description of this walk up to number 15 (Château de Fay), where I reached the village of
Maurecourt!
Thank you for this lovely walk!

I walked the route in the opposite direction, from Vaux to Andresy (12 km). As a result, the route description wasn’t much use to me. However, the GPS was essential, especially on the section between Vaux and Boisemont. In this first part, the path is muddy and should be avoided in wet weather. Picnic tables between Boisemont and Ecancourt. A varied route with beautiful views over the north-west of the Île-de-France region.
