Banks of the Seine from Triel-sur-Seine

Park on Chemin des Graviers, Chemin Vieux or Chemin de la Commune near the car wash if there are not enough spaces at the front. This is at the entrance to Triel when coming from Poissy by road.

(S/E) From the middle of the car park, head right for 30 m, then turn left under the D1 bridge and immediately right onto the small path. Follow it for 350 m.

(1) Go under the D1 and continue along the Seine via the towpath and then Quai Auguste Roy.

(2) Opposite Parc Senet, take the passageway below the road and continue along the quay to the small roundabout.

(3) Turn right onto Rue Cadot, which ends in a few steps before reaching Triel’s main street (Rue Paul Doumer).

(4) Turn left onto it for 40 metres, then turn right onto Rue Galande towards Triel church. The street passes underneath the road, then under the railway line.

(5) At the crossroads, turn left towards the cemetery and continue along Rue des Bois, which joins Sente des Beauregards at a junction.

(6) Follow it to the left until it bends left.

(7) Keep right onto Chemin des Mareilles at the edge of the woods (still on the^GR®), which turns left after about 900 m. Walk down to the^GR®/PR® junction^.

(8) Leave the^GR® which heads off to the right and turn left onto a small grassy path between the houses. At the bottom of this path, take the steps on the left, then turn right under the railway line and rejoin the main street, where you turn left until the first street on the right, which leads to the banks of the Seine.

(9) Continue left along the towpath, following it to Place Philippe Prévost

(10) Turn left, cross the square and walk past the Théâtre Octave Mirbeau to reach Rue Cadot and the few steps leading up to Rue Paul Doumer.

(4) Cross it by turning left then right and immediately take the small passageway into Rue du Four. At the top, turn right to take Rue de la Gare opposite.

(11) At the station, follow the path running alongside the railway line, continue across two roads and arrive below the D1.

(12) Turn right onto the street running parallel to this road, then follow a path that remains below the D1. Cross Rue Paul Doumer to return to the car park (S/E).

The route can start from Triel station (11) for those arriving by public transport (Line J – Paris St Lazare – Mantes La Jolie via Conflans) or from the Place Prevost/Quai Auguste Roy car park (3), allowing you to return to your car halfway through the walk.
