Combe de Verdolier and return via a side valley

Park in the centre of the hamlet, in front of the church.

(S/E) Go up the small street to the right of the church to the cemetery. Ignore the first track on the left (marked^GR®®) and take the track almost opposite, in front of the entrance to a property. Follow the fence of this property, continue straight ahead on a path and then on a small track until it descends to the right.

(1) Leave the track and take the path slightly to the left and descend to the crossroads at the bottom of the valley.

(2) Turn left onto the path that leads into the valley. Follow this path for a long time in the valley, keeping to the left at the charcoal kiln. Then cross a boxwood forest, turn right with the path and arrive at an old field overgrown with thorns.

(3) Cross this field and take the track on the right which climbs and leads out of the valley. Pass the highest point (altitude 917 metres) and continue to the next crossroads.

(4) Take the yellow^PR®® trail on the right. After a descent, 300 m further on, find an ascending trail on the right and, ten metres further on, a path that also branches off to the right into the woods.

(5) Follow this path. A little further on, bear right to join a valley and descend into the thalweg. Join a track descending from the right and follow it to the initial three-way junction at the bottom of the Combe de Verdolier.

(2) Continue straight ahead and retrace your steps to return to Verdolier (S/E).
